If you mean the best beach in Australia for topless Pommie backpackers, then yes, I do know where that is :D

I have the exact same tat on my arm, but smaller stars. I thought it was somewhat unique when I got it, seems not :( Thats ok, we can share.

You know whats funny i was at my mates house warming party and we all decided to get in the pool so off came my shirt and one of the guys is like hey!!! you got my tat!!! he took his shirt off and im not fucking kidding you he had the exact same tat in the exact same place same size and everything WTF.....

LOL no topless pommie backpackers at Maroubra.

If your talking about Bondi well thats another story, in the middle of summer i decided to go to bondi instead of my local and once i got there i remembered why i stayed away lol way to many people but i was torn in half cause even though the beach was packed beond belief which i cant stand there were so many gorgeous girls there :)

Ha! This reminds me of a time i was out at some club and i saw some guy sitting at the bar with the exact same tattoo as i have on his upper arm. Without really thinking too much into it i bounced over and tapped him on the shoulder and flashed him my tattoo. Instead of him laughing it off, he got really embarrassed and all his mates started hanging shit on him calling him a girl, and that he has a chicks tattoo.. i felt really bad. I thought he'd think it was cool, or funny or.. i dunno! I guess i just didn't think. Anyways it was this tat:


I laugh about it now though. As it was worse for him than it was for me. A chick having a guy's tat isn't as bad apparently as a guy having a chicks tat. Oh well, these things happen when you pick your first tat from the wall!

Its a really nice butterfly though! Small is just as good as big. It's what suites the person. The fact you got it done in Amsterdam just makes it all the more cooler as well! I wanna do the same one day.

DFRS is right, not all tat artists are going to generate quality work. A good thing to do is keep your eye out for people with tats in your general area and ask them where they got there tattoo from. That should be a good indication of who is good and who isn't

I believe the common method is "hey, where did you get you work done?"
 
i litterally googled to find my tattoo artist

and then after that i spoke to a few people and about half of them recommended the same place i had found while googling

so the choice was made, and yeah, worked out well :)
 
I also have southern cross stars on my upper leg, and too thought it was unique until i read about it was the most common tattoo, in an article in the herald sun on australia day.
I dont really care that other people have my tatt, it is what is unique and special to you. and all of mine are unique and special to me.
 
How is the fact that many Australians have it a bad thing? It's a fucking good thing, shows solidarity and love for your people and is a common thing for Australian folk to share~

the southern cross is a recognisably Australian icon, but what ever mate, the more the merrier ^ pretty sure i could name a personal aqquantence from every country on that list, which is one of the key reasons this country rocks (but mayeb this belongs to the multi culture thread). tattoos for all mate should offer em for free an the 26th;)
 
Each one of those countries has the southern cross on their flag. In fact NZ's design has been in existence since 1869..... a little bit before Australian Federation..... enjoy your uniqueness VT.


Being a dirty bogan is a recognised Australian trait as well but it doesn't stop it worldwide.....
