EMD Post a clip of a song you listen to on loop ad infinitum.

The first song that hit 1,000 plays on those old clunky iPods, long before I knew the drug would be prescribed to me as my first mood stabilizer

wasn't sure if this was an electronic thread about electronic music or if anything goes. i'm gonna post cause the last two videos...

songs i used to listen to on repeat a lot when i was going to bed after tripping:

Alex G - brite boy

i used to listen to this song and think i was in the perfect place where i wouldn't need any help. i still do sometimes... usually puts me in a good mood or feel at peace

Long Beard - Moths

edited out the song from this video into an mp3 and was listening to it a lot

The Smiths - Some girls are bigger than others

Archers of Loaf - Web in front

made an mp3 of this song cutting out the snare hits at the very beginning so it would loop better and be easier to fall asleep to

My biggest play on repeat song is Viper's "you'll cowards don't even smoke crack" i've listened to that while tripping for hours and then fell asleep listening to it. i can't get enough of that beat and i even got used to the vocals.. i always wanna listen to that song, but won't be able to be getting into viper anymore after the recent news stories about him. i wrote about it in my viper thread in the music discussion forum. totally whack bad vibe stuff. you can prob read a few recent news stories about Lee Carter Viper the rapper to see what it's about. shit makes no sense, but doesn't put me in the mood to listen to his music despite the fact i love it so much. meh.

Also i've listened to a lot of Till Tuesday songs on repeat, not just because they are good, but because i used to listen to them in the car with my parents when i was a baby

i see i have one more video that i can post in this thread before i can't post anymore... here's another song i've listened to on repeat. it's really the only perfect song by this punk duo gerty farish, pretty sure they are from boston from the 80's and 90's

Gerty Farish - the ancient irish venture into battle

You tube just recommended me this again right after posting.. definitely put this song on repeat when i hear it

Bad Religion - American Jesus

I might have to post some more stuff in this thread... I have a lot of albums i listen to on repeat where there is a perfect song on it and that will make me want to listen to a whole album or a playlist from the artist, but sometimes a song sits just right to be played a bunch of times in a row...

Stove - Blank

Pixies - Trying to get to you

over looked pixies song that i must've checked out years ago, but have been getting some pretty positive vibes from lately.

Ramones - Pet Semetary

Bob Dylan - one more cup of coffee for the road

Polvo - Leaf

Sonic Youth - Genetic

a minute and 35 seconds into this song always gets me hitting the back button to get the beginning of this song to play again.

Thanksgiving - dead deer and other animals

Talking Heads - this must be the place

Lucy - 20 year old version

i already commented how i'm pretty sure this is a electronic music discussion thread, but a lot of the users switched up for any genre, so i've been using the thread cause i love the idea of a song you can listen to on repeat... here's another 5 set of videos since you're only allowed to post 5 videos in one list:

bluelight user's screen name juicewrldfan just reminded me of this song. a few years back they were playing it on the radio with the black girls at the beginning turned up in the mix.. i always thought that was funny/cool. gave me good memories of people i've seen before... totally emotional song, the beginning is juxtaposed awesome.

this is by grimes. she was elon musks partner for a while. i'm pretty sure they have kids or at least one kid with funny names... a lot of grimes music comes across as weird betty boop porn esque to me. this is her most beautiful song imo. it's an album where she does the tracks with this other singer geidi.. she matches her voice to hers on this track, and it's just way prettier sounding than her other stuff imo.

talking heads. i love the vocal delivery of this song.. i have a complaint with music where the beats kind of jump all over the place. i call it "banging". this song kind of bangs. i don't see how i listen to it so many times, but i can really feel the emotions of this one, and have all sorts of theories what it's about. dude must feel tortured. when he says "goes on the heat goes on where the head has been" i'm pretty sure that's about electricity in the head being reincarnated in other similar lives, but you just don't know it. maybe people see this in dream.

here's a band i heard on college radio as an early teen, kind of emo imo. they are from new england. really radio friendly. they sound like a lot of other stuff so i see why they didn't get very popular, but i love these two songs:

another 5 set of songs i've been into lately and have listening to on repeat before:

this song i first heard from these druggy high schoolers when i was in middle school. they were driving around the neighborhood in their car playing it really loud while my friend and i were skate boarding. my bus stop was in front of a 711 convenience store, and they used to hang out there and watch me get off the bus. one day one of them asked me "do you know who Iris is" or something, and i thought it was drug slang or something, so i ignored him. this bicycle cop confronted them and was like "you did not just talk to him". lol... years later i was on a local message board with the same kids, and they told me that they wanted me to check out the band cause it looked like i was interested in them when they were driving around.. that was when i was like 18 years after middle school.. i remembered how much i loved the song and a couple others i heard them blasting in the neighborhood. i concluded that it was best i didn't talk to them and find out about the band in middle school cause there was enough on rock radio to get into and i didn't need to start relating to older druggy kids. i probably would've tried drugs a couple years younger and didn't really need that.. i feel kind of cool the kids noticed me though. there was a discussion on the local message board with the kids and some other people i knew how people liked me cause it was always really obvious i was thinking hard about stuff. lol. i love this song alone, but because of my history with it, it brings me extra good vibes:

a song off the first Polvo record, my favorite of what i'd consider "guitar" bands:

i'll probably make a guster thread sometime. their new music sucks imo. but their second and third album are amazing, and there a couple hits on the albums after that although not my fav... guster is amazing. my friend's mom used to let us drink whiskey and we'd listen to guster and appleseed cast in his basement. one morning his mother cooked us breakfast and she was like "nick, you know bob is the type of guy that girls go for. he's mysterious." i think the combinations of depressing pop and emo music from appleseed cast that my friend didn't normally listen to made her feel like we were doing something productive drinking, growing emotionally.

another song like that talking heads song i posted a few comments ago about. it's kind of banging shit in some ways, but i love the delivery and i just love to sit with kool keith. cool mother fucker. love his style in this video too.

another song i have experience listening to from random people's car stereos that it took me a while to find out what it was:

only one song for this round of songs i listen to on repeat... i first heard this last night recommended on you tube, and this song is awesome. it reminds me of viper the rapper beats but a bit more modern which probably appeals to a wider audience of people than viper's weirder more early video game sounding synths... anyways, this girl is super cool. she has nerd teeth. lol:

the vocals on this sound kind of like it could be a male voice or a transperson.. i was talking about how i don't think most MTF trans people have voices 100% like females, there's noticable differences and some tones can't be matched... however, this is an example of a tone i feel a natural birth male or person with both genders could carry the pitch of. like it's high pitch and sounds feminine, but some of it sounds like it's coming from a person with a deeper pitched voice than the singing, and i think that happens with some MTF people that use prettier sounding voices... so for a while listening to it, i was kind of uncertain whether or not the girl in the video was the person singing, or was thinking maybe there was male vocals mixed in. but i'm guessing it's probably a girl, but who knows. i listened to the song and watched the video on repeat while smoking for at least an hour. so that's like more than 30 views... i had a better time thinking it was a girl tbh, but i'd still listen the song and respect it just as much no matter what gender wrote it... also, that girl is cool as hell too... i love the ending of the video when she lets her face down. she makes a gesture like she's hot, and you can see her side profile in a less flattering or sexy way than when she's smiling more. it reminds me of waiting at the starbucks i used to go to. i'd stand at a bar and you'd see the people from the side profile making drinks. if i saw her just with her face down, not making any facial expressions, i might think she was alright, but i wouldn't really think she was cool. this whole video is like "i'm a nerdy bitch but i know you want me." it was recommended to me like an hour or so before i normally watch pornography at night. lol. probably made the experience more enjoyable with my brain chemicals. might be like a random once in a life time experience that my brain could feel that good. just really good timing recommended by you tube.

ALSO ONE MORE SONG THAT I DO ON REPEAT, CAUSE OF VIDEOS WITH BEING UNCERTAIN OF THE ARTISTS GENDER:

totally depressing feel good song... i love the fake fighting and dancing the artist in this video does. it's definitely a girl probably from all the other stuff on you tube. when this was the only video up, i settled that it was probably a girl. she is only like 18. really cool guitar, sounds like a lot of stuff, but the synthesizers she puts together with the music is great. the skipping at 1.15 is pretty epic too.

here's another song by the same band. these are the only really two great or epic songs by the band, but still enough to get a lot of respect from me. none of the other stuff is really bad. it's just not on the same level. this is a good one:
