So I have a nasty cold and went into my cupboard to take some of the cold medicine I bought earlier, only to notice each tablet contains 325mg Paracetamol, 30mg Pseudoephedrine and 10mg DXM, and I have several packs. It's kind of ironic since just yesterday I was thinking about getting myself some Pseudo and attempting Methcathinone synthesis with a friend - but anyway right now I'm more concerned about the DXM, since I love dissociatives and I've yet to try it. Normally I'd just go buy more plain DXM, but I have so many packs that it makes sense to try some kind of extraction if it's possible.
So yeah, my question is, can I separate these ingredients at all? I mainly want the DXM, so if I can't separate apa + pseudo that's okay, but if I can separate those from each other too that'd be great.
If I remember right, pseudo is very water soluble, and DXM is not - so that'd be a good start, but then, isn't APAP also not very soluble, hence why CWEs work?
Thanks, sorry if this'd be better in ADD/OD but I feel it's simple enough a question to fit here
Edit: Further question, but is pseudoephedrine any good as a functional stimulant - I have access to plenty of interesting stimulants, but I'm also looking for something that would help me stay up long without a high and the horrible crash from caffeine.
