I've been interested in these testing kits in the past, but I hadn't heard of the Mecke test which can test for certain opiods. I'm aware that Marquis test kits contain formaldehyde, which is a controlled precursor. From what I understand, selenious acid and sulfuric acid aren't restricted chemicals, however I may be wrong; please let me know if I am.
I'm thinking it could help me find and possibly get a vague idea about the adulterants used in the various rocks and powders that I come across, or see if I've been ripped off completely.
Would it be possible for me to make a trip to hardware store for example and purchase what I needed to perform my own Mecke tests?
