Possible nerve damage after sub-cutaneous injections

I sub-cutaneously injected ketamine into my mid thigh. or so I think so. I used 3 1cc 29 gauge 1/2 inch tips. I didn't feel any pain while injecting just a little pinch once. Leg was a little sore after but that is too be expected with repeated injections. 24 hours later my I was rubbing my left leg and noticed it was numb about a hands long up from the knee cap on the left side. It looks to be the end of my femoral nerve, just the skin and a little deeper is numb, an area of about three fingers. When I scratch around the injection area but not directly on it in a very specific spot I can feel the whole numb area tingle. Other than that I can't feel anything, any burning sensation or other tingling. I can walk and everything just fine and hasn't really gotten worse just stayed the same since I found it.

Is it going to heal on it's own or should I seek medical attention before it gets worse? Could it be caused by injecting into the nerve or just being by the nerve and putting pressure or irritating it? Could it have been caused by improper shot preparation and possibly an infection or nerve eating disease? Anyone have similar experience with this?

Any advice, comments or anything would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Thanks. It has been about 5 days now and there has been no change in condition. Do you think I should still go see a medical professional?

So it has been about two weeks and nothing has changed. I had injected about 200 units I would say in the same general area. There is a swollen area or a lump. Not raised too much but it is there. Whatever it is it is compressing my femoral nerve so that's why I can't feel that patch of skin. Is there anything urgent care would do about the abcess that I can't. Will it go away on its own? I really don't want to go in if I don't have have to I have never gone in for anything like this and don't want it on my chart. What should I do?

Please seek medical attention!! You aren't going to get in trouble over drugs you used 2 weeks ago (aside from possibly some judgey looks, but whatever, this is your health at stake) and this is important. We can't know exactly what's going on with you or if the numbness will improve on it's own. If you think you might have an abscess it's extremely important to get medical attention.

Seeing a doctor or going to an ER is the only way to be sure of your safety.. There is only so much we can do here over the internet and with something so potentially serious, you really shouldn't take any chances.
