I hoping to generate a topic that is purely positive and uplifting.
Reflecting on your entire life from birth through today, what has to be the first and foremost highlight of your living existance?
Can be anything that would rank as the alltime best thing in your life, i.e. A love, a career move, a once in a lifetime feat, something you won in a contest, anything at all so long as it makes others feel good!
My life has been filled with too many good fortunes, i'll have to think more on this before I decide on one only....
Share your luv, share you happiness, share YOU!

MUSICMUSICMUSICMUSICMUSIC.
from Progressive to trance
from jumpup to jungle
from house to hard, & happy hardcore
from old breaks to new,
& I cant forget my Euro. Drum & Bass.
Its all music of my soul...
I think out of all my short life, Ive had some of the most memorable times since I REALLY realized what the scene I Think is about.. MUSIC Makes my world go round.
Im glad you posted this topic its given me the opp. to recognize a few people.
Brittany,Jason B,Shayne,Will Futch,& Ronnie.
Wow! Its so weird to see all their names together!
Theese are the people that have helped shaped me to this day.

Music and the innocence and happiness of kids. They talk to everyone and always have a smile on thier face. I wish i could be a little kid again. Things were so simple than.

Trance is for people with depth, I wouldn't expect you to understand it.

I'd have to say Woodstock 99 was the best time of my life. I had the most amazing time... and the best part about all of it was that I got to share the whole experience with my bestest friend in the whole wide world. Without here there it wouldn't have been the same. I love her to pieces :-)

Okay, I've spent the entire weekend thinking my own question over carefully and it is still difficult arriving at a single answer.
I've been incredibally fortunate to have had many, many, awesome experiences in my lifetime.
I've had and raised a family, no easy task. Have great success in my career and loved it for the past 26 years. I spent the past three years teaching others how to do what it is that I do. Personally satisfying to give something to others. Ive enjoyed many rare opportunities in life that most others will never have a chance to do.
Im going to have to go with my participation in a guiness world record skydive I participated in. I along with 117 other skydivers set a new world record of 118 skydivers completing a 2 point formation skydive. A very difficult feat and not done since. The energy of everyone involved was like nothing else I've experienced in life. The rarest of opportunities and the culmination of 16 years devoted to skydiving with nearly 2000 jumps to my credit. Imagine walking around for two weeks and your feet never touching the ground. Can not describe in words the total experience to you friends.
This was a hard call for me. I've surfed and windsurfed most of my life, water and snow skiied as well. Road motorcycles and golfed and even have a hole in one.
I've been 40' up in the air on a trapeez at the circus and flew at 300 mph in a world class aerobatic plane with a world champion german pilot doing loops, rolls, upside down and out of control flight pulling 5 g's (this was the most intense thing ive ever done)
With so many things this was a hard question to answer. The world record though was the rarest of opportunities.
Maybe we shouldnt be allowed only one ultimate experience, but as many as we can cram into one lifetime?

Highlights of my life have included...
...dancing to my favourite song along with a thousand other kids who are sharing my love for the music...going fucking crazy...forgetting that anything else exists...
...loving a person with my whole heart, holding nothing back, realizing I would give my life for theirs...and knowing they feel the exact same way about me...
...saying "I love you" and meaning it...
...chilling with my best friends, who I consider my family...smoking some weed, listening to good tunes...caught in a moment, and realizing, "hey, I'm actually having fun!"...knowing that these memories will last forever...
...keeping a job, paying my own bills, saying "fuck you" to my parents, and moving out...
...flying down the city streets at twice the speed limit in a *nice* car...pumping the volume so loud, nearly blowing the speakers...feeling alive...
...writing...and actually getting something published...
I dunno, now that I think about it, there's so many! Great topic, this cheered me up this morning...thanks!!

We are each of us angels with only one wing. And we could only fly embracing each other.

Wow!
This is exactly the responce I had hoped to get...
Really happy to read all of your answers and it shows me that their is no one definitive way of answering it.
Some of your answers are at the least "Enlightening" and give me a new way of perceiving "more" enriching ways to look at my own, life and the things that are really important.
I hope their are far too many other people here that can offer their highlights in addition to ours.
Would like to see this thread over-run with replys and that will tell me there's Lots O' Good in the world!
Thanks for taking the time to reply everyone!
Bob

After re-reading Earcandys reply, I have come up with another interesting subject that could be added here but might make a better separate post.
What people have impacted YOUR life in the most positive way and how? Be a great way to give them the recognition they deserve....
Thanks EarCandy for the idea

Care to get it started????

I feel really lucky to be able to express some of my inner-most thoughts, feelings, ideas through this forum and with the people here that are a part of the BlueLight family.
LiQwidVibeZ..
You are so right about the smile on a childs face. It's taken me most of my adult life to learn how to smile. I can't remember as a child ever being able to smile. Even at five, my life was intensely serious with worries that no one should ever have to deal with at any age.
I suppose that is what I like most about rolling. A permagrin from ear to ear. Love the music, love the dancing, love the people.
I'm trying to learn how to feel that way all the time without use of beans. If i can ever learn the secret, my life will be filled with a natural ecstacy. Now that is the ultimate drug.
Why can't we learn these simple things from our children???

Having played in three bands who have material that has been recorded (in professional quality). Nothing makes me happier than to meet someone and pop in a CD and they're like "wow.. this is really great! who is this?" and I feel proud in responding "Me." I'm so lucky to be blessed with the talent to make music that other people can enjoy. I guess sometimes I take it for granted and let other stupid things get me down, but if it weren't for those "stupid things" I never would've come up with some really really good stuff. I dunno. I take so much pride in music, and it always makes me smile when I come up with something that I know is good. I'm very very proud to be considered by a lot of kids an " excellent musician" and not just "some kid that can play guitar alright."
Shoulder on the Window by Saves The Day
It's just such a great great catchy song. I can be found every evening driving down I-75 singing this.
(lyrics: And I say, "Just go. Please, Dave, just drive. Get us as far as far can be. Get us away from tonight." And I say, "Oh, Dave, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to yell, But I'm having quite a bad week And I miss my mom." And we drive Dave steps on the gas The world that's flying by is slick and smooth Just big waves of light The radio is playing clean And we're rocking out We're going now 'Cause, hey, this is it This is where we are Out here where silence is Seventy miles an hour and the windows up tight And I am home)
Tenth Grade by Over It
Actually a really depressing song about a girl, but the breakdown is musically so uplifting. I can also be found listening to this every single night of the week, multiple times. People who drive past me must think I have problems. :-)

Well by the results of the replys here, music is "universally uplifting"
I didn't mention music as a number one influence of mine, but at current collection of 489 cd's covering 60's thru today, it is definately a big part of my life...
I understand ya'll

the esteemed Green Tara came up with this idea a few months ago, as well. Although plans of starting circle pits and crowd surfing during her sets never became reality, it was a damn good idea.

EarCandy, you really do have a very nice voice
