Popularity of MDPV in America?

Just curious to how popular MDPV is other areas of america, and in what form (powder ordered from a RC vendor, legal high from a gas station, etc).

In my area (Northern California - just south of the bay area), I'm the only one that I know of out of all the people in all the social circles I associate with to have it. A few people know what it is from reading / teh interweb, and I've met maybe 2 other people that have tried it that I didn't give it to myself. I've only recently seen products pop up at one headshop in town that I suspect may contain MDPV.

It seems pretty much completely under the radar here. But it seems like (from reading on BL) that other parts of the country have picked up a lot more on the whole legal high / bath salt scene, and therefore introducing more to MDPV.

Whats it like in your area?
 
I have just recently heard of it and am curious as to the basic effects. I have heard the overly exagerated explanation but I would love to hear it from someone firsthand that likes taking it as a recreation. Please explain what effects it has so I know if its something I would want to check out. Thanks.
 
I'd buy it if I saw it but right now the main RC on the scene is mephedrone. And that's pretty obscure.

never seen them and no one i know has seen or tried them either...i have heard of the bath salts though..i think i saw some article about how people in canada where gettin rushed to the hospital cause they where shootin it up..but like i said i have never seen it on the shelfs...


my question is why would anyone consume anything thats marketed as bath salts?

Its the sad and unfortunate new ways of the RC market... :p

They have been selling these (powerful) stimulants (mostly Mephedrone, Methylone, and MDPV) marketed as "plant feeder" and "bath salts" to skimp around the human consumption laws of various countries. Thus they tell you 'how much to feed your plants' instead of 'how much to take'. Its all a little game of bullshit tbh.

Though 'bath salts' and such products are only one way to obtain the chemicals contained, they can easily be found in their pure(ish) states on the internet.

Probably a good thing, imo. Most of these chems have little research done on them and are wickedly compulsive / addictive (at least to stim lovers). As soon as they left the underground over in the UK the whole market went to shit there, I would hate to see that happen here although it seems inevitable.
 
Oh now I know what this is. All I've heard are bad things about MDPV effects. Oh, and like Ektamine said about the other chems that have little research done on them and are wickedly compulsive / addictive. I had already decided to stay away long before I knew what it was!

Yeah I've used a fair share of both, way more MDPV than anything else though. To me, its addictive in similar ways and a similar level to cocaine. It definitely puts off sleep unless youve already been awake for a day or two, even then you gotta cut it off early if you want to sleep.

On the other hand though, fun shit =D 8)
 
^the same can be said for meth.
MDPV doesnt last 3 or 4 days. It only lasts a few hours.

But stimulants are compulsive, and that will lead to trouble.

I enjoy a lot of the cathinones. Ive never consumed them sold as bath salts though.

to each his own I guess, like delsyd mentioned the same can be said for meth and while I don't consider long paranoid meth binges fun I definitely think meth can be fun in the right situations.
 
I don't find it all that addictive unless smoking it, which i quickly found only leads to a massive migraine later.. As it is, i got 1g and have used approx 150mg since thursday (in small doses throughout the day).. but even that seems like a lot, since i wasted a lot while vaping it one morning. bleh :\

As for effects, it's hard to describe. It's nothing like meth or coke/crack. It somehow reminds me of BZP.. in that there's a kind of mindfuck of judgement, but it's subtle - higher doses make reality more confusing

It feels like a dirty high to me. Mg for mg, it's very potent and rivals coke and meth, but to me at least, it's lacking.. For example, with meth my mind is clear, i'm sharp/articulate/focused and motivated. MDPV, on the other hand, has this sort of erratic feeling that isn't all that pleasant (especially in higher doses; it's really anxiogenic) - my thoughts tend to become circular, so it's easy to feel anxious & confused. There is no feeling of confidence or grandeur as with more popular stims, just a heightened awareness (of sound, environment) and feeling different or awkward

In small doses (1-3mg) it's a good pick-me-up.. As for the euphoria, i only noticed it the first night i dosed, and it was mainly due to me being on d-amp at the same time (synergy). It probably goes away with daily use as well

To sum it up, i think it's a nice/handy stim to have around if you don't have access to (good) meth, cocaine or prescription amps... But if you're expecting MDPV to be like any of the aforementioned, you'll probably be fairly disappointed (and even more so if you decide to abuse it as if it were)

"Proclaimed" purity as advertised. Vendors are shady these days. Never know exactly what a supplier could send to a customer. Especially if the receiver is uneducated and unexperienced.

And when it comes to PeeVee.... it's effect widely varies for everyone that I know who has had it. The funny thing to me is how fiendish it is to people not even fond of it.

Actually i take that back. This is actually the best MOA if you want that nice subtle euphoria. I just needed to use a decent vape as it has been a while since i did so (june of last year). All i used before was foil, which of course is crap and i burnt (wasted) a lot..

This time, a light-bulb did the trick. It is kinda reminiscent of smoking crack, due to the similar melting point, odd smell and paranoia.. but it still isn't exactly fiendish
 
I've never smoked crack, did adderal, or tried meth..so those 3day binges don't come too often

I've done my fair share of coke but that's about it..I'm more of a downer then an upper

Uppers are just the opposite of natural personality and kinda makes me feel uncomfortable..imma chill dude who likes to relax not be all wired
