Popular Snowman T-Shirt Raises Concerns

I seriously overheard someone talking about "those snowman shirts" and thought it was some wild new t shirt design or something.

obviously i was right.

the third grader who drew that is probably pretty excited about all the publicity.

everytime some hood niggaz blow up with clothing, someone tryin to hold it down. i thought this was america people.

If you want the hood to continue to hold itself down, along with it's children, it's mothers and fathers, then please continue to celebrate a future of nothingness by supporting a clothing line like this. It's disgusting.
We're free enough to destroy ourselves alone or in groups but do we have to market hopelessness?
You're right - it's America. We can do better because we are the land of PROMISE!

First of all ... no kid snorts yayo because of a snowman shirt..... and plus wtf does that snowman shirt have to do with promoting drug sales..... does the back of the shirt say something? As far as I can see the front has a snowman and thats it..... if thats all its harmlesss

And the numbers 4 2 0 mean nothing either right? Its a symbol.

Come on, I think you all probably completely understand the hype the parents are gettting at. The snowman shirt is well known to represent (symbolize) cocaine dealing/use. Would any parent really want their child to do either of thoose or even be associated with either? no. That's what they are bitching about. It's the attitude that they are over reacting that helps to keep drug users on a lower teer of stupid and ignorant. You all know the snowman is the cocaine equivalent to 420, which everyone knows what it means.

I am in favor of lowering/decrim/legalizing drugs and I have to agree with the hype. They have a point. Tell the parents and let them decide what to do about it. Even if no one else here considers cocaine to be a big deal, the parents do. Failing to recognize that, you can't complain when they fail to recognize that drug use isn't a big deal for you and your own choice. Your attacking their opinions on drugs, so than they can attack yours.

Both sides need to learn and live and let live. Drug users don't attack the soccer moms, and than ask that the soccer moms not attack you.

does the back of the shirt say something?

On the back it says "I got that snow... man" ;) Mine is on it's way. Heh. Yeah, i'm a trendy fucker but nobody in Oreogn has one yet so. =p

how about we print t-shirts with G.W Bushs face on it with say a big fat line infront of him or say a crack pipe in his mouth...

Maybe we can get his image banned like said snowman....

1st of all, drug use IS normal.. and 2nd of all, i dont see how a drug dealing snowman conveys a sense of being sucessful, sexy, or "something"

lmao. man if that shits menacing they'd hate the shirts i make.

"C-unit rock it up, cut it up, bag it up." you can imagine waht the c stands for.

"junkie"

"i tell everyone i'm clean."

"crack rockin"

i like the snowman tho. not that clever really. its pretty sad these grown ass adults couldnt figure it the fuck out.

Drug use is not "normal" (or neuro-typical) because we do not need severely mind altering chemicals to survive as a species. It is, however, neither intrinsically "good" or "bad" from a rational ethical perspective for one as an individual because only your actions define you in this scenario.
My primary beef is that the people making lots of money on this image are waving two defeatist flags and doubly defeating the people they pretend to represent: One - The flag of hopelessness(read:ditch education). I.e. in order to be someone, you must sling dope and constantly skirt the law. Two - if you're not "something" by this logic, your own personal choices and decision making aren't to blame; revert to being a victim, and an angry one at that.
Don't get me wrong on an overall point though, cultures of poverty are multi-racial. I just don't think that celebrating this defeatist mindset is the way to shepherd children into the 21st century.

I happen to be a semi- geezy fan, and that shirt has nothing wrong with it. It's a picture of a snowman. I see shirts with buds on them all of the time, and this shirt doesn't have piles of powder all over it, simply a snowman. Freedom of expression baby.

It may not be an adaptive, evolved trait, but it's still normal: almost everybody uses some sort of recreational drug from time to time, and drug use is found in just about every culture going back thousands of years. It's even found in other species. Getting high is part of human nature.

That shirt is pretty damn ugly, makes cocaine look bad as well. Although this whole thing about it incuriging kids is garbage, I bet if not for the news 95% of kids woudnt even know what it was and just think it was so fashionless hiddious shirt. (Just like the whole Jelly Braclet thing, no one I knew thought they ment anything untill the news sited some dumb hicks useing them as a sex code.)

yep. you'd have to be high on crack to think that shirt is cool. i was expecting some graf styled evil character or something, not a lame "looks like it was drawn by a 5 year old in photoshop" graphic. ain't got nothing on the acid house.

"meanwhile in a white house not too far away folks are getting away with treason" *sighs*

football (soccer) mums put the washing machine on spin or learn how to play xbox or something.

young jeezy had very strong ties to the now infamous street gang the BMF (black mafia family).. the BMF just recently got brought down in the motor city, or as we like to call it, the D.. young jeezy is rumored to have pushed birds and bricks for the BMF, and all the local legends are the D def swear on their grandmothers graves that young jeezy ran with the BMF in one of their hubs down south..

i didn't say "neuro-typical" i said normal. As in "Conforming with, adhering to, or constituting a norm, standard, pattern, level, or type; typical" . Drug use is extremely typical in the US and other western countries. In fact the majority of americans don't go a day without consuming a recreational drug:
According to 2005 data from the National Coffee Association (NCA), 80 percent of Americans drink coffee occasionally, while 53 percent drink it daily.

It aint "glorifying ditching education" or encouraging dealing.

Its hustlas who are proud of what they do, showing it.

id like to see people get all uppity and outraged about the song Mr Brownstone or some shit like that. you know plenty of 'great' classic rock bands have 'glorified' drug use yet the rappers take all the fuckin bullshit for it.
