I enjoy poppy seed tea.
In Australia I would go to the local store and buy a jar of seeds.
I would remove about 40 grams from the jar;
With the leftover 200g of seeds in the jar;
I poor water in the jar, fully covering the seeds, shake 30 sec and then drink. ------ Very Simple
No shaking for 20 min, no heating, no filter.
Just cover seeds with water shake 30s and drink using my teeth as a filter.
I repeat up to 3 times in a row. The 3rd time it starts tasting milky.
It also tastes milky if I soak seeds any longer than 5 min.
I do this about 3 times a day.
I have been doing this for about 6 months.
My girlfriend buys a coffee, I buy a plastic jar of poppy seeds.
The lady at the super market said, "This is the first time in my 30 years working here we ever ran out of poppy seeds" LOL
My girlfriend explained I am an American with strange eating habits.
There are many stores in Australia, all is good. The Country is Amazing by the way.
Now I am back in California and I proceed to the local market.
The seeds taste RANCID.
So GROSS,
Like PEPPER.
I became sick to my stomach.
Any one experienced with poppy seed tea?
Is there a correlation with the Pepper taste and getting sick?
When I have good seeds I can tell immediately from the Taste.
I love the taste of good seeds.
Are they mixing in different strains of seeds with somniferum seeds?
It did take the dope sick away, but the stomach ache was not the good kind.
I miss Australia.
I am under the assumption that my best bet is to order bulk online,
A site that caters to my needs.
Sometime soon.
I am taking a break for now. Just ordered 4 ounces of Kratom.
In Conclusion, stay away from the Pepper seeds?
Why did the seeds taste so good in Australia and they tasted horrible here?
I have tried numerous spots in California for seeds. Some are more Peppery than others.
NONE had that good Australian taste.
P.S. when I am done with my drink I always scatter the seeds around town.
Plants are good for the air. Do the same.
