Poppy seeds

I've done a bit of research on poppy seeds lately and found that whilst the average content of morphine seems to be about 100 micro-g/g it fluctuates greatly between types of poppies.
Do any of you know what is the most morphine rich species and how its seeds look like?
Is it true that seeds for medicinal use are cleansed of most narcotics before being sold? That wouldn't make to much sense, as they are used for a calming effect.

As far as I know, the seeds you see for sale in your local supermarket are the same seeds found in the opium poppy. The seeds contain no morphine and are thoroughly washed to eliminate any opium residue left on them after they are extracted from the pod(s). Regardless, the washing process does not completely remove all the opium residue left on the seeds and if you use enough of them and have a low opiate tolerance, you might get a buzz.
