Opioids Poppy Seed Tea left at room temperature?

Brewed up some pretty potent Poppy Seed Tea 4 nights ago using Coca Cola to extract the alkaloids, went pretty well. It's been left in my closet since at room temperature.

Is it okay to drink or would it have gone bad?
 
It's probably grown tons of bacteria, i don't think it is safe. The alkaloids themselves are probably fine, but using coca cola was a horrible idea because that goes bad rather quickly at room temp. However, even with water, the solution will still grow bacteria quickly because of the plant matter that is in it.
 
you can only really keep it in the fridge for 12-20 hours or so, depends but after that it tastes nasty, still will work but i bet you're eating down some bacteria just based on the taste; shit maybe it's good for you but it tastes disgusting.
 
I disagree coca-cola is full of sugar and other preservatives which would allow your poppy seed tea to still be good. Take a good whiff of it if it smells rotten you should know and of course if there is anything floating around in there that looks like mold (white, green, pink, etc) toss it. The worse that could happen is it fermented a little. Of course even if there is nothing wrong with it the paranoia of bacterial growth would probably taint your trip anyway.

You can't really tell by taste because seed tea is supposed to be bitter and nasty. If it taste almost alcoholic then I would say it has spoiled.

By the way I have drank seed tea that has been in the fridge for almost 2 weeks (without any preservatives even) and have been fine, again don't know what this person is talking about but maybe I was lucky.
 
Right, you really can't tell^ Coca cola goes bad within a week, regardless of the ingredients, and that is without seed material in it. Being refrigerated is a whole different ballgame. The process of fermentation begins pretty much as soon as you make it.
 
The tea ferments after 2-3 days in the fridge. I have been using it for 2 years now and I have found that strongly brewed unsweetened tea works the best.
 
It's useless, now, I'd imagine.

PST tends to go bad quickly, even refrigerated. While it might still contain enough opiates to get you high, it will likely taste like ass.

When PST ages, the lipids (fats/oils) that were dissolved in the liquid coagulate and float on the surface. They do not taste or feel good in your mouth.

Also: Why Coca-Cola?

Is it for the acidity? You should just use concentrated lemon juice, to form morphine citrate. I'd think that the seeds would ruin the taste of the cola, anyway, especially with their high lipid content.

I always use plain room temperature water to make my PST, sometimes with lemon juice added. The lemon juice does positively affect potency, IME, though it doesn't taste very good. It's not horrible, it's just that I don't like unsweetened diluted lemon juice (though I love actual lemons).
 
I would be worried about the possibility of various microbes such as fungi and bacteria. Not to mention that coke is very acidic and I am just assuming that it could perhaps destroy the alkaloids in the PST.

Yeah, there's definitely a lot more swimming in that stuff after a few days.

But I don't think the acidity of cola is enough to destroy alkaloids, though I thought about the possibility immediately after reading that the OP used it. I think the alkaloids are, for the most part, still active.
 
I've basically done this before (left it at room temperature, though not in coke). I could see white strands in there (looking like thick white thread). It tasted like absolute moldy shit, but it worked. I would never do this again; there's no telling what kind of nasty and harmful stuff could grow in it.

hahaha oh god. I had some PST that I left on my table in my room for like 2 or 3 days, and it surprisingly fermented a lot. It had released co2 upon opening the lid, and there was some white stuff floating and it smelled like some prison wine. I almost drank mine, I thought maybe the alcohol will do it some good, but the floaties got to me.
It's still sitting there some odd days later, I wonder how it looks now? hahaha I'd try the whole evap/opium flake thing on it if it were more potent but I doubt theres much in it and Ive never done it before.
I wonder how it'd be to make some clean, alcoholic, PST or PPT? (never got the pods, seem pretty expensive compared to already extracted opiates)

I never liked combining alcohol with PST because the PST was too much in volume, and, as such, drinking booze just made me nauseous.
