I used the search engine & was surprised to see only 3 threads here in ADD & was just curious if anyone has tried it.
Is it legal here in Australia? (Obviously the pods wouldn't be)
Is it as simple as going to the health food store & purchasing 300 grams?
Doesn't the owner of the store ask what in the hell u would be buying all those seeds for?
I read that the lemon reduces the PH of the water or something like that which help the alkaloids separate from the seeds into the water.
I don't plan on goin down the street to try this method. Just curious in anyones experiences, if good seeds are actually easily available (or they are all washed well these days) & how it compares to Codeine.
If it's as good as some of the reports I've read I'm surprised as to why everyones not out buyin the stuff instead of doing CWE.
Anyways, here's a recipe I found on the internet:
edit: here's some extra info. trying to help out with HR
take a look www.poppyseedtea.org
someone overdosed on 3.5 pounds. that's 1.5855kg, a pretty high dose
..but read the coroner's report:
www.poppyseedtea.com/Coroner_report.html
seems he also had:
Zoloft, Xanax, DPH, THC, Hydrocodone & obviously codeine too in his system. so ummm yeah. obviously not just the the morphine from the PST
but it did say the main cause was overdose of morphine.
Check this link out from wikipedia saying the batch contained like 500mg of morphine

Just the 300g of poppy seeds.
1. Put them in a big soda bottle. Fill with warm water (not hot) so the water is covering all the seeds and you can slosh it around a bit.
2. Let it sit for 10 minutes shaking occasionally.
3. Get a big cup. Turn bottle upside down and slowly twist the lid until the water starts coming out but the seeds stay inside. Squeeze the bottle to get the last of the water. Drink the tea.
you can add some lemon juice after step one to help with the taste. It's rumored the citric acid helps with the extraction but SWIM doesn't think so.
You're just after the stuff on the outside of the seeds so don't grind them up or anything. Just follow SWIMs instructions and you should be good to go.

That's a good example of how varying the potency of the batches can be so be careful if ya gunna try it out. they were obviously unwashed poppy seeds, but still...OverdoseIn 2003, a case of fatal overdose of poppy seed tea was reported on a website authored by the victim's parents. The site alleges that a sample of poppy seed tea was sent for laboratory analysis. This victim is reported to have used 3.5 lb of poppy seeds in his tea preparation as on several previous occasions. The concentration of morphine in the tea was shown to be around 250 μg/ml and the amount of morphine which had been consumed by the individual was around 500 mg.[1] This is about five times the lethal oral dose (without tolerance to opioids).[2]ABC News reported on the incident in January 2008.[3]
