Poppy seed extraction

I've read several reports on this now, both on Erowid (an dI hold erowid in pretty high regards) but I also know not to believe everything you read.
Does anyone know if it's possible to extract anyth opiates from poppy seeds. I've heard boiling them, letting them sit in lemon juice and makeing tea out of them can cause extraction of some opiates from the seeds. Is there any truth to this?
