Poppy Seed Cake Filling for Tea?

So unfortunately with the long weekend behind us I screwed up and didn't order my usual shipment of seeds to get me through the week. The grocery stores around here only carry the weakest of weak seeds. However they do carry pretty good size cans of Poppy Seed Cake Filling. My question is, does anybody know anything about using such a product in the making of tea? I could really use some and I could easily secure a good amount of this product but I don't want to mess with it unless it will help me out with my current condition. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I've never tried it but I doubt that would be a viable alternative. It contains corn syrup, sugar and spices/flavourings, and I'd assume the seeds have been well washed. Making it into a tea would be very difficult because it's like a syrup/jam type consistency, if there were any alkaloids on the seeds they would be absorbed into the seeds.
