poppy pods

ok i'll prob. get yelled at for this one but here goes. the sites online offering poppy pods, bullshit or no? i was thinking about ordering some seeds but is it the same as the shit they pull with the morning glory seeds and cross-breed salvia plants?

The pods are legit. But for the price, you're paying an awful lot of money for a single dose.
As for the seeds, it's just really impractical to grow your own to produce any opium. I believe it's something like 10 pods to produce 1 gram of opium or something ridiculous like that. Unless you're in Florida or something, it's too late in the season to start growing outside anyways. Growing inside, it's just going to take a lot of room. A lot of room.
You're basically just throwing money away unless you're growing for ornamental purposes.

Actually that's true. I grow pods every year in a small area...maybe 15' X 5'. I've never milked for opium but I get enough pods to make alotta tea.
And as far as milking them goes, if you have decent quality pods you can get about 100mg of opium per pod. So your right about the 10 pods = 1 gram. 10 pods can be squeezed into a small area. If I milked my pods I'm sure I'd get about 4 grams of opium. Thta's not bad considering how low mainenance the flower is and how short the growth cycle is.
Some sites that sell dried pods have really good high quility pods. Others suck. Goto http://www.poppies.org and dp some research.

Its more like 13 pods=1 gram, and thats in a high altitude location, so unless you live in moutains don't expect potent poppies. They also take 120 days to grow, would be alot easier to just get either morphine or heroin.

Altitude does not effect alkaloid content in poppy pods. I think your confusing poppies with coca plants.
"13 Pods = 1 gram"? You can easily pull a gram outta 10 pods and who gives a shit about a 3 pod difference anyway?
"They also take 120 days to grow" Yeha, like I said, "A shorth growth cycle". Some strains are ready in 90 days. In most US climates you can squeeze 2 and 3 harvests in a single year.

There's alotta good strains to pick from. Personally I would go for Hens & chicks, persian whites, or giganthiums(sp).

Your right, the poppy strives in higher altitude, though I don't think it effects yields, or morphine content.

ok i'm going to order some dried poppy pods and i searched to see if anyone else had before and i found a post about it. but no one was really definate about weather or not dried ones were any good. are they? will i be getting ripped off? i want to make the tea and i read that it can get really strong and possibly kill someone. is this from dried pods?

I saw a huge jar of blue seeds in my local health food store the other day (labeled poppy seeds) anyone know if these are the right kind ?

The tea is AWFUL. It is clearly not worth the crumby buzz...from my experience, 5 of the jumbo pods were equal to 1 percocet. But the tricky part about the tea is that if you take just a few pods too many, you can wind up with the worst stomach cramps you have ever experienced....This happened to me once and I had no shame about crawling up into a bawl on the couch in my underwear practically crying in pain in front of my wife.
I would fake an injury for percs before making this disgusting tea ever again.
