I forgot how strong poppy pod tea is. Yes, it's still out there. The espresso method is the best and the least messy. Toss it in a blender, heat the espresso maker on medium and no higher, and you'll be fit. A mod here, negrogesic, deserves an award for figuring that out since the wet straw in other methods has a habit of getting everywhere and can be a danger to pets.

You'll need enemas if you use it often though, and something for the absolutely appalling itchfest you'll go through. Top off with turbinado sugar and afterward gatorade for electrolytes. Good luck sleeping, because you won't. Antihistamines can help but don't take the drowsiness inducing kind due to respiratory risks.

Be careful with too much. Not only can you die, but an overdose on this stuff will make you uncomfortable for many hours to the point it starts affecting the rest of your life the next day. Sweating uncontrollably can happen on it regardless of withdrawal status and it's pretty nasty since your skin will feel dehydrated but wet at the same time.

Two or three pods is really enough for a naive person to use and then most importantly go do something else rather than keep redosing throughout the day.

The less high you get, the better it is. You'll also notice much less of a histamine reaction with light use and won't scratch yourself compulsively in front of others. It's not very cheap either so the cost of light use is far more palatable. 150 a pound doesn't seem to be out of the ballpark for price now so it's on the pricier side unless you are literally an addict whose money only goes to bills and substances.

A pound, if used only occasionally and intelligently, would last you months. Redosing several times a day just isn't fun and puts you into junky maintenance territory. It's a good mood lifter if used lightly and responsibly. It's a day long scratchy hangover if not used responsibly and over time a habit weirder than most drugs, since it's addictive to the body several-fold and ruins sleep to the point you might as well think you've been doing amphetamines. Paradoxical since it's called somniferum but there it is.

As with anything, go light on this and you can have real beneficial effects from it, without the need for extra things like antihistamines or enemas. I think it's excellent for occasional control of depressive symptoms or perhaps social anxiety. I feel sorry for those who resort to it for ongoing pain relief due to the side effects of pod tea. Recommended for a bi-weekendly psychonautic ritual at most, alone or shared with a loved one. Opioids aren't something you want to have to rely on, so respect it and this flower will respect you.

Great advice and spot on. There are over 20 threads on here in multiple forums of members in misery as they went a little to gung ho on the seed/pod tea. Most wish they had never heard of it or bought their first pod. They say it's about the worst WD of all the substances. Right up there with trying to kick a heavy methadone habit.
