feel free to merge this but can anyone tell me if my tecnique is off. First i dried my best to blend using a single drink blender (Works great for work out drinks but doesnt seem to get a power more like clumps of pod) so i added about half a couple of water. This was using giant pod and a small pod. I blended the contents for about 2 minutes but like i said it still wasnt powedery due to water and bigger particles. I next added 1 cup of near boiling water and then stirred off and on for 10-15 minutes. Waited until it cooled and then filtered with an wifebeater. Im about an hour into my "high" or lack there of. I fee a little different but no opiate euphoria. I did a couple of washes already but even the first one didnt look dark but more yellow. Am i using to much water? Seems to be a butt load of seeds per pod. being a first time user i was kind of taken back at the amount of seeds per pod. I took tagamet 45minutes prior and. Should i allow to sit/stir for longer then 10 minutes and how long is the residue left over ok before mold begings to creep in. Like should i do another wash asap? thanks for the advice like i said first pod user and looking for that nice warm feeling. hope everyone is having an awesome saturday. Tomorrows football!!! yea buddy1!!

Your technique is probably OK. I'm not sure if you did, but don't use the seeds. They don't contain anything when taken out of a dried pod capsule.

I'm thinking you just used too little pod material to feel it, especially if you're not totally opiate naive. I would try at least one or two giant pod more. You can try to rewash within a few hours. It'll take several hours for that pod mush to start smelling littlle off and yeasty. Basically, start small and slowly work up the dosage of pods 'till you feel something. Pod tea comes on slowly, but you should feel something within 15-30 minutes.

Pods are odd, people have very different effects off them compared to normal opis - personally I feel very little with them (even when using dozens of pods), though regular pharma opis work mostly fine for me.
I'd try increasing the dosage, your technique seems fine. Though to be safe, it's better to start with slightly less hot water (70-80 is what you're aiming for, 'near boiling' may be to hot) and then simply reheat and rewash it a few times.

well, morphine is broken down at around 81 C and codeine at around 60 - 65 C if i remember correctly (although im not 100% sure on the codeine) so its really worth while in investing in a thermometer so that you can (a) make sure you don't oxidize/break down the alkaloids and render them inactive and (b) make sure the temp is hot enough to kill any bug eggs, bacteria and parasites that could be lurking without ruining the goodies, however you will probably find that you did not use enough poppies, 2 is a relatively small amount even for a first time (although you should never measure doses in amount of pods as it is not indicative of alkaloid content, but rather grind them all up, every last poppy head that is, not the amount you will be using for each dose, but all the poppies you have bought, to make a homogenous powder and measure that in either weight or spoonful's and titrate your dose, that will yield the best results in terms of finding your "sweet spot") i'd say however if you haven't got scales and 2 did nothing use 4-5 and drink slowly over 2 hours, opium is not a drug to be fucked with, it really can kill you if you are not careful.

just a word of warning, try to go into your experience with an open mind, it is not what you will be expecting, the media and music make opium/morphine/heroin sound like some magic drug that will allow you to lucidly dream and believe your most wild fantasies whilst feeling like your the king of your own small island, and im sure we have all heard the trainspotting orgasm line, and yeah the drug is good, but if you go into your experience expecting the above you will undoubtedly be disappointed, it will be the best feeling of disappointment you have ever had, but disappointment none the less.

I don't think pouring hot water over the pod material matters much. I'm almost certain using boiling 100 celcius water for a short while won't destroy any significant amount of the goodies. It will cool down to 80c pretty fast. Hard boiling for a long time might be a different. Tried more than a few times with short boil and less than 80c water with same pods, and I didn't notice any difference in strength tbh.

Still, it won't hurt to use under 80c water to be sure.

I stuck a thermometer on top of my refer' for a hour (in the winter when it runs less) it read between 88-94 F. I put the pot of tea w/ a tight fitting lid inside a hot/cold collapsable cooler overnight, approx. 12 hours. It is the the strongest batch I have made (more than once) by far.

Yeah first off more then likely you didnt use enough pods. if its a strong tea it will be very bitter tasting. The more bitter the stronger the tea so be careful and drink it slow. Second i always just use hot water from my sink tap. Once it starts seaming from my sink i fill my cup. that ahs always worked for me and its the easiest route.

I find lying down straight after drnking the tea helps you appreciate the effects, and also help reduce any nausea resulting from drinking the tea.

I find the key things to get the best out of your tea are to:-

  • Accurately dose, go for weight of the de-seeded pods rather than number of pods.
  • Add a nice tasting acidifier, such as those high dose disolving Vitamin C tablets (1 gram for every 20 of poppy pod).
  • Use a blender and reduce the de-seeded pods to a fine powder.
  • Put the pods into a pan of just boiled water, adding the acidifier first.
  • Stir in the powder thoroughly.
  • Put the pan in the fridge for at least 30 mins for cooling and the water to absorb the goodies.
  • Then strain the pans contents using muslin cloth, extracting as much fluid as you can.
  • Put the solids from the muslin cloth back in the pan with a little cold water, then strain again as above.
  • Put the tea in the fridge to cool it futher, till it is the temperature of a cold beer/ lager.
  • Make sure you have an empty or almost empty stomach, and drink the tea straight down to minimise the taste aspects.

If you are a beginner start small, and titrate up to your adequate dose.
