A slight bit of background information: I've been addicted to opiates for five years (this month, actually). I use oxycontin, opana, and methadone regularly. If I don't have opiates I get sick, so I'm not just a casual user, or exaggerating when I say "addicted." I took ten days off of opiates about two weeks ago to A) try and lower my tolerance a bit, and B) because of a new legal situation that constant opiate use will probably impede from going away. After 10 days off of opiates with nothing but a small amount of benzos and some kratom to get me through it, I decided that I can't live my life without opiates, and that when I move back to Philly (the 'burbs of Philly, actually) that I am going to get on bupe of MMT. There's no point in getting on it here/now because I'm not going to be returning to work/school until I move, and my addiction isn't getting in the way of my life as of right now. I've been using percocet, methadone, and poppy pod tea since getting back on OPs three days ago.
The trip: I woke up today with a call from a buddy of mine. He'd been out of town for a few weeks, and had just gotten back in. Before he left, I fronted a decent amount of pharmaceuticals to him so that he could survive his vacation, and having just filled his prescriptions he decided to partially pay me back. It was about 2 P.M. when my doorbell rang, and my friend - let's call him "J" - came in. He had gotten his methadone (120 of the 10mg) and roxicodone (90 of the 30mg) filled, and gave me 6 of the roxi's and 30 of the 'dones.
I very rarely I.V. any chemicals. I've done it plenty of times, though, but my most recent had been six months ago, and that was done by a profession (I was getting surgery). My I.V. history includes heroin, oxycontin, dilaudid, demerol, and cocaine. I hadn't planned on IV'ing today, but "J" had just picked up a bag of rigs, so I decided. to give it a go. I had already downed a few glasses of poppy pod tea, and my morning dope sickness was just beginning to leave my body. "J" crushed up and prepared 90mg of oxycodone (in roxicodone form) for me. I hate sticking myself, so I had him inject it into my inner elbow. I always get a little giddy/anxious before a shot, and today was no exception. As soon as the plunger dropped, though, I knew that I had made the right decision for method of ingestion. Fifteen seconds after the plunger dropped my body became nice and warm. An involuntary smile appeared on my face and wasn't going way. I wasn't expecting to be blown away, as my tolerance is extremely high, but I got a nice little rush off of the shot. Oxycodone, for me, always gives me an alert relaxed feeling. It's almost like, and I hate to compare it to this, a social heroin. Heroin is still a lot better/more enjoyable/more fun, but oxycodone is a very nice buzz for me.
"J" grabbed his stuff and left, leaving me to my own devices for the next few hours. I'd been putting off alphabetizing my DVDs for the last few weeks after getting a new DVD shelf and entertainment center, but now I felt like taking on the task. I couldn't look at the sporadically-placed DVD boxes anymore. I have about 600-700 DVDs (I would have a lot more, but I got robbed for every one of them about 9 months ago while on vacation) that needed alphabetizing, so I began dividing them into A - E, F-J, etc., and when that was done I began organizing them by single letters. When I was done that I decided to vacuum my carpets and do some dusting. After I was done cleaning, I decided to start downloading some new songs, and chatting up with my friend Brandon on AIM while exchanging songs back and forth. Brandon's a good guy. He knows a lot about drugs, and he's down for whatever just like I am. He lives about 2 hours from me, and we're planning on hitting some raves before I move back to Philadelphia, and I can't wait.
I downed another 10oz of very potent poppy pod tea, and then decided that another 30mg of roxicodone was in order. I smashed the pills and began to turn the powder into dust. If I'm already narcotized, I like to take about ten minutes to crush up my pills. I like to get the powder as fine as possible. So fine, in fact, that as soon as I sniff the powder I can feel it in the back of my nose/throat, giving me an instant drip. Sometimes it's so fast and strong that it makes my eyes water and my nose burn a bit. It might be psychosomatic or placebo, but I feel the extra 30mg almost immediately.
I'm in the middle of selling my house, so for the rest of the afternoon I alternate between listening to music and completing menial tasks around the house, something I wouldn't have done without oxycodone. It's one of the few opiates that gives me the motivation to get the little things done that I always put off. Unlike adderall, another good one for this purpose, there is no shitty comedown on oxy. I mean, when I don't have it (or any other decently strong OPs, I get sick, but at least I don't feel fried.
My roxi's are all gone now, so for the rest of the night I'll be sipping on poppy pod tea and doing a little bit of writing. Tomorrow I'll be waking up to 90-100mg of methadone, and I'll try to finish my writing assignment.
Poppy Pod Tea recipe: Methods vary, but this is how I make my poppy pod tea. In this case, they were Turkish Gigantheums, a very good batch of pods. They might be the most potent that I've ever had.
1) Take however many pods that you would like to use and either A) grind them up in a coffee grinder, or B) grind them up in a blender until they look like saw dust (read: as fine and powdery as you can get them).
2) Take said powder and put it in the blender. If you used a blender to get the pods into powder form you're already one step ahead of the game.
3) Take 2 to 6 cups of water (depending on how much powder you've used) and make it extremely hot (just shy of boiling). You can either stick the water in the microwave for 4 to 5 minutes, or you can put it in a pot and heat it on the stove. Either way works about the same, but the microwave gets the job done a little faster.
4) Add the hot water to the powder (in the blender, remember?) and blend it on a slow speed for a minute or so.
5) Let the water and powder mix (we'll call it "the mix" from now on) sit still for about five minutes.
6) Blend the mix on high for a couple of minutes.
7) Let is sit for a few minutes.
8) Repeat steps 6 and 7.
9) Get a metal strainer (or a t-shirt) and pour "the mix" through it into a cup. You're probably going to have to clean out the strainer a few times during this process. I leave a bowl nearby and I dump the bigger clumps from "the mix" into it so that it can be used again. Be sure to squeeze the clumps out before putting them in the bowl. There is usually a good amount of chemicals in the clumps.
10) Once you're all done, drink the tea. I like to mix the tea up with Kool-Aid mix. It almost completely masks the taste. I've also used sugar and honey, which does a decent job of masking the taste, as well, but the Kool-Aid is my preferred way to go.
11) Enjoy a nice, warm body buzz.
P.S. You can repeat steps 6 and 7 on the leftover clumps. Just get some more hot water and blend. I've used the left-overs up to four different times before, and each one is just a tiny bit less potent than the last time. If you've got an iron stomach you can just eat the left-over clumps. That way you're getting every last molecule.
