poppy plants

Has anyone ever tried to grow there own poppy plants? Iv heard its not that hard to do.

Yes, possible and pretty easy. Pretty flowers, too. The buds sort of shyly bow their heads before they open.

Yeah, i used to. They're 'easy' to grow, in the sense that it doesn't take any special knowledge, but you need the right conditions and sunlight, and the germination rate is IME pretty low.

There's heaps of information online, but cutlivation is a topic we tend to keep away from here, for the most part (because it's really not a harm reduction discussion).
But yeah, i used to love growing poppies. They're beautiful in several different ways...
I didn't like addiction though. Not worth it

Some ppl even go so far as to say that throwing seeds all over your lawn and then in winter they start to sprout.

So easy they grow wild in fields.
