This thread isn't about nitrites, buuuut...I don't suppose you remember the source for that at all? I'd like to read it, if you do remember post a link please.
 
just sounds like a one hitter / chillum... i used to pack tobacco in the bottom just so that i didnt waste any weed...

it's just as bad for you as smoking weed and tobacco.
 
Thank you fluffy. That one yellow bottle toward the middle looks just like what he had. The first time I did poppers was in the 90s, dancing with a bunch of gay men at a gay bar. (I have friends of different sexual orientations and they don't mind my being straight and I don't mind them being gay or lesbian.)

I got very confused when people on BL spoke of poppers as something tobacco related because my experience of poppers is always these little bottles, which you put on the web between your thumb and first finger and sniff.

The high is delightful in a club with all my friends around, dancing and smiling and enjoying life. The lights are brighter, the music becomes infectious, and I lose all inhibitions and just dance. Dancing on poppers is like swimming in love.

i just said that because of the movie reference to poppers. Now the thread is about nitrites tho.....

As for that statement i do not recall where i saw that but it was on the net, i bet some googling will turn up a source, but im not sure which one i saw.
 
I thought you meant Amyl nitrite at first.

I'd never heard of this term or smoked herb the way the site link described, unless you count smoking ground herb in a glass bowl or one hitter and hitting it all at once so it all got smoked and went through the stem of the bowl or one hitter.
 
Nah, it doesn't pull through until the tobacco starts to burn, by which point all the weed is already gone. It's certainly not wasteful at all, it gets you higher off less weed than any other method of smoking I've tried (which is most of them).

The tube looks like a one hitter, but it has a stem and is placed in a bong.

Not at all. Because you pack the weed on top of the baccy you burn through the weed, burn the baccy then pop it through. When you're hitting poppers you can easily tell when it is starting to burn the tobacco and when it is time to pull it through and pop it.

Like Yerg said, it is the best way to get high using as little weed as possible that I have tried.
 
here in the UK where it originated we call em Bangers or Banger mixes.

just spend 25c and get a pack of screens instead of sitting the herb on top.
one thing that happens with bangers is you lose a lot of weed over time when it pulls through to the bottom into the water.

seriously. buy a screen, it will allow you to smoke all of the amount you pack.
unless of course you WANT to get a wad of tobacco smoke in your bonghit.
 
Yeah poppers is the Ontario-Canada name for it
in England they call them shotties .
In Manitoba-Canada they're called yettis ,

but yeah it's a local thing called different things in different places
 
I am not quit visualizing how this is done... basically load a bit of tobacco at the bottom of a bong bowl then weed on top, then cash the hit and suck it through?
 
theres no bowl. just a downstem, often with a socket (as in tool kind) on top as a makeshift bowl.
perfect size for a "bowl" for doing this.

In Ontario (or at least where I am) they don't even put weed in their poppers . Kinda pathetic eh ?

I know soo many people who do them . Obviously these people arent your cut of the mill and are actually quite lower class and dirty .

eww .And after hitting poppers the bong water is almost blackk !

but yeah if theres one thing we ever agree on sega (which we rarely do) its this .
