So the thing is i popped these T3's literally 2 minutes after i ate dinner so i expected to wait a while but its been to long and i havnt felt anything really. I popped them at 8:40ish and now its 10:20 and not feeling a single thing, what could have possibly gone wrong here

60mg of codeine is next to nothing for most people. you won't feel a "high" of any sort unless you're very sensitive.

oh okay makes sense, some of my buds said i needed 2 to get pretty high...guess not lol, but i do have a bottle of cough syrup with codiene, considering doing that....how much of that would i need for a decent high ?

It really depends on you. As its been stated, codeine is not really strong

imo i would slowly work your way up until you get to about 120, but god, i wish i can feel something from codeine

T 3s, arent really that strong. I mean it depends on your tolorance and everything else. T3s are basically at the bottom. codeine, hahahaha ^^ i wish i could feel somethin from em as well.

Tylenol #3 is equal to a 5mg vicodin...that won't do much for many...

Some people don't react to codeine because its a prodrug. You have to have the enzymes to convert the drug to morphine and other drugs. You might be one who falls into this cataglory.

I am sensitive to opiates, I think that 60mg on a person who is opiate naive should give you some sort of happy or warm feeling. Now if you have tolerance (natural or acquired) or not the enzyme to convert the drug then it won't feel like it does to other people. Maybe next time try it on a empty stomache and see if it woks.

Or unless you have a lot of copies of the CYP2D6 liver enzyme allele, responsible for converting codeine -> morphine, tramadol -> O-Desmethyltramadol, DXM -> DXO, etc.

As to adding codeine cough syrup, even if you have the right enzymes, redosing codeine doesn't work too well. Without tolerance, I'd expect most people to get a mild, fuzzy warmth from 60mgs of codeine, but you'd probably get higher from a joint or a few beers. T3's are really best for pain management and a Godsend when you have to function on bad hangovers (I find that to be true even with a substantial opiate tolerance), but if you want a high, then codeine'll only get you there if you have it in pure form or risk a CWE, which is a bad habit to get into (I started out with codeine, and soon hit the harder stuff). If you try again on an empty stomach, you might have better luck - especially if you take a tagamet and/or fresh, pulpy white grapefruit juice 45 mins to an hour before dosing. You might have a high natural tolerance, and you can't safely take more than two T3's at a time, owing to the APAP, while CWEing always runs the risk of imperfect filtration and resulting liver damage. I'd leave the cough syrup (it probably has other actives in it, too), and if you're determined to experiment with opiates, wait until you come into contact with something a little stronger (Vicodin/Norcos or even Percocet, perhaps - but starting down that road can lead to a lifetime's regret. I've lost a couple of years to pharms, opiates and benzos - and it all began with codeine and kratom).

I disagree, from a recreational viewpoint, that a T3 = a 5mg Vic. Technically, sure they're equipotent, but hydrocodone is much more euphoric, to me, than codeine - even with a moderate tolerance, my first 5mg vic resulted in a much buzzier, upbeat high than I'd get at the time from a 30/500 codeine.APAP pill. And high-dose, extracted hydro is one of my favourite opiates (tried everything but Dilaudid and oxymorphone, pretty much). I've spent a lot of time in the US, but am currently living in a shitty island off the coast of Europe, and the two creature comforts I miss most from the States are Hydro CWE's, preferably from Lortabs, and cold draught Root Beer: the combination would make me a very happy man right now, especially with a Wendy's cheeseburger or three and some peanut butter M&Ms. No, not Reese's Pieces: peanut butter M&M's. They'll getcha higher than codeine, though they're more addictive. I swear, I may be a benzo and opiate addict, but it's all a result of abrupt cessation of root beer, Wendy's & peanut butter M&Ms. That shit was doper than what's sold as dope here, even without the hydro.

Two problems with what you did, the first is you took a drug orally right after a meal. Even if you took a proper dose, your stomach has to process all that raw material food before it can get to your drugs. Second problem is two tylenol 3's = 60mg codeine, a pretty weak dose. You're going to wanna take at LEAST 3 of those pills as your first dose of codeine ever, 90mg you'll be able to feel. 120mg you'll feel for sure.

^ Good point. The best way to take oral drugs:

1. Dose your drug/medication on an empty stomach, with 300mg chelated Mg for NMDA antagonism.

2. Eat a meal 20 minutes after ingesting drug, which speeds up gastric emptying, so the contents of your stomach containing the drug is pushed down in to your intestines to make room for the food that's coming in (the intestines absorb the drug, not the stomach).

3. Take post-meal vitamins, especially if you are taking benzos, opiates, or stimulants, in which case, Zinc on a full stomach helps to reduce the increase of tolerance through NMDA antagonism, and Vitamin E and Omega 3's act as a potent antioxidants to prevent neurotoxicity with stims.

Even for someone with NO opiate tolerance whatsoever, 60mg's of codeine is hardly enough to feel a recreational effect.. try taking five x T3's

my opiate tolerance isn't huge and i did over 800mg the other night lol, in 2 doses at least. 90mg of codeine used to get me really high though, so maybe just try 3 pills

What codeine syrup is it? There are many different ones, it all depends.

Also even though 60mgs is a low dose, you did take it right after eating dinner and that could make a difference.
