Its the same shit, just a different year, and different moderators. GM and friends do a fine job IMO.

I just started coming here regularly (I've ended up here 100's of times over the years through google searches, though) and I really like it. OD is my favorite forum and I go to a lot of them now. I do think that the sticky with the OD rules need to be bigger or something to that effect. When I joined the site, I thoroughly read the BLUA, so I thought I was all set to post. Then I made my first thread, and I accidentally mentioned how much money I paid for and I felt really stupid when I saw the sticky, but its so little and it blends in with all the others. CD has a huge link right at the top, would you be able to do the same?

(As for the performance of OD...Yes, I have the same outlook , The mods do a fine job, I disagree with them at times, but , over all...OD has helped if not saved thousands.)

I guess thats what really matters- agreeing on the big picture, and not stressing about minor disagreements.
 
What bothers me sometimes in this forum is thread titles like this:

PLEASE HELP, COULD BE URGENT, i think i really did myself in. IV morphine

Im very lucky, I Got a DBL morphine tartrate IV vial..

WTF Cymbalta???

Tramadol withdrawl/bupe

Clean that fucking shit up. Rename them to something relevant. Have the thread title correspond to the contents of the thread. Get some proper fucking grammar.

This isn't the The Lounge.

Although OD has probably been helpful to most if not all visitors at one point or another. I have to agree that the quality of threads and discussion has gone downhill since I've began lurking.

As CG said, clean up the thread titles and the 'URGENT' threads need to go. If something is really that urgent, posting on an internet forum is not what one should be doing. Seeking medical help or seek advice from someone IRL who can actually help rather than someone on another end of a computer screen.

you know, while i miss the social thread, as i talked to quite a few people i like talking to that dont venture out into the other social forums, if it makes more work for the mods that are already swamped as it is, then im fine w/ it being closed, as much as i miss talking to some the OD social crowd.

Those type of threads, like the example you left, are against the guidelines and not allowed in this forum. A benzo mega thread would be wrong. That would be like creating an "Opiate Mega thread". I think if OD was organized into sub-forums, that would organize the forum better.

As for 'get me high' threads, I follow what's posted in the OD Guidelines; harm minimization comes first. Helping him dose properly is harm reduction, though it's not for this forum. Or, if he already had an answer I'd go ahead and close it. Moderator's discretion, after all.

What happens when your just surronded buy a bunch of drug addicts who really dont have much of a brain left to answer the question you needed, and you're not sure 911 is the place to go , due to legality , money all that shit, and all they have is bl, because they are surronded by people who aren't more intelligent than them...

Not all people that do drugs have the brightest of minds, and when youre on drugs...you know what its like once your heart starts pumping 140 beats a second , and it feels like your about to die...I mean...we've all (Maybe just most of us) have been there...so what can we do to clean it up? I don't really think we can, it will always happen, we just need to deal with the problem as it comes up, get rid of it afterwards...something...

As for those weird threads that make zero sence..just...tell em its not needed, and close....maybe remove...if possible.
