A strong dose of LSD knocks ANY mushroom dose out of the water. %)

No way. Does acid ever get you to strip naked in front of your best friend and his SIBLINGS, not knowing who or where you are, and not even knowing you're on a drug? That was only 4.5g. :p

mushrooms are only unfulfilling if the mushrooms don't find you worthy. if you make friends and get on the good side of the mush, they will bring you places as profound and overwhelming as salvia.

I have to agree... mushrooms, if used properly, are astounding, and I can't imagine how people could find them just fun. Nothing has even come close to the place of perfection that mushrooms have brought me.

i voted psilocybin simply because a mushroom trip is pretty short in earth-hours, and, for me, there's no hangover, whereas with acid i'm shot for days after tripping... and for me, acid turned out to be pretty scary, whereas mushrooms are simply beaaauuutiful. i feel super-unproductive and unable to accomplish anything more than a simple task after acid (though, the last time I did it was the night before a boat ride and a 7-hour drive, so that probably doesn't help the grudge) but after tripping on mushrooms, i can still balance my checkbook, AND sleep, and afterwards i retain a sense of calmness and awe... they seem to be a very gentle drug. but to each his own, of course! i think i understand why acid-heads are so into the stuff because it is truly mind-blowing.

I've noticed that many occasional/regular mushroom users seem to age *much* more slowly.
LSD users seem to benefit form the same symptoms, but it's less obvious.

Anyone else notice this?

I picked Psilocybin. I can't find another psychedelic that [so gently] lets me look at things under a different light. It feels organic, and natural to me... not to mention browns/yellows/reds are among my favorite colors :D

Plus, the trip is exactly the right amount of time. Just perfect.

dO YOU MEAN AGE PHYSICALLY OR MENTALLY? Oops capsdisease.... I belive that many psychedelic users seem to keep a 'childish' or jovial attitude to the world that many serious business-people-types seem to squash because its not economical....however, I haven't seen much benefits on physical aging appearance for mushroom users, almost the opposite. I guess some of these old hippies have the look of someone whose spent years basking in the sun, and laughing their face into strange creases. :)

Wow... I have to say shrooms (psyocilin). A little more of a head trip than LSD and a little easier for me to ass out when I'm done. Plus the whole ritual of picking the shrooms....half the fun is at 7am when you're re-upping in a cow field, sun coming up, and all your boys are walking around the field looking for caps, laughing their asses off, at absolutely nothing. I LOVE IT!

Just can't beat free.

hehe i used to love acid... still like it and appreciate it, but mushrooms have skyrocketed themselves above lsd for spirituality and DEPTH... everytime i take mushrooms, its a good trip... not always at the time, most of the scary times are on shrooms, but afterwards i always feel better for it...it may be a "cheating", but i love MDMA and shrooms, really allows for some inner exploration... takes the edge off mushrooms

mushrooms hands down. for me lsd feels stimulating in a weird way, and usually causes too many rushing thoughts. I prefer to quiet my mind and leave analysis by the roadside when tripping and just *experience* instead. Mushrooms usually confront me with lots of direct spiritual experience. Acid seems too analytical and manic. I mostly trip to feel spiritual though, and mushrooms always make me feel fresh afterwards.

Mushrooms always tend to make me too anxious. I've had some cool experiences on mushrooms but definitely LSD for the win. Sometimes I just wish it didn't last for 12 hours, its very involved.

This thread should be about which is better - psilocin isolated in capsule form vs. lsd in similar form, or should be called "mushrooms vs. lsd". Cuz I think it'd be much different when you're comparing the clean, non-nauseating chemicals to the "whole" mushrooms. I would love to try psilocin by itself. I think it would be like a shorter, funner version of acid. without their physical effects I would take mushrooms more.

I wish it lasted for 18 hours. I just love it over ANY other substance =D

No doubt, it is always a blast. However I often find myself wanting to do it late at night with obligations the next day :(

i dont know which one to choose.
LSD is too psychoanalytic for me and the experience is way too long. Well not the trip itself but it takes hours and hours until i am able to sleep.
Entering the mush room however is way more fucked up and chaotic than acid. It also has a somewhat divine feeling to it and it seems to be "outside" whereas LSD seems to be "inside", in my head.
Allthough shrooms are more chaotic, they are more "fun" to me. The process of thought is much more complex and to me also terrifying on acid. 2 times i was stuck in an 4-6hours long loop where i was mentally paralyzed and could only scream ahhhhhhh and be scared to shit cuz i thought "yep this is the end, psychiatric hospital ahead".
i think i choose the freaky alien mushroom.

I don't find mushrooms much more nauseating at all than "the clean chemicals". I also doubt that psilocin is much more similar to LSD than mushrooms. Granted, I haven't gotten to trying pure psilocin yet, but it sounds like a somewhat less mentally attached but otherwise similar experience when compared to mushrooms. LSD, on the other hand, is very different from psilo-anything.

I voted LSD because it's a very unique psychedelic that has the most broad spectrum of experiences it can offer. While mushrooms are irreplacable for some occasions, LSD is pretty much what I'd call an universal psychedelic. Too bad coming down from it tends to sucks ass, though. Mushrooms have the most beautiful afterglow in the world.
