I miss EADD polls. So we’re having more polls.

First poll is pretty boilerplate, but we have to start somewhere…

I vote cats. Cats all the way. Cats love you on their terms: you have to be worthy of their affection.

Dogs will just whore it up with anyone. Bitches be thirsty. Just doesn’t appeal to me.

What say you, good people of EADD (and perhaps wider BL)?

PS: I’ll be posting a new poll every Friday… that I remember to post one and/or even minimum engagement levels are received. Watch this space… and the spaces future polls are posted in.

I love dogs, particularly ones with soft kissable jowls.

But I also love cats - particularly ginger ones who seem to have their own special character.

Point being the cat has chosen to lie down on you and if you move it it tends not to return

This is extremely relatable. For most cats. But not for our Ollie. That lil bugger is truly insatiable 8o

Some cats require activating to seriously settle in for attention time. Ollie is built different. He will demand attention and even after extensive fuss he won’t relent. He’s a special boy… in more ways than one 😃

Ollie, yesterday…

I never liked cats growing up. My grannys cat would run away, one of my elementary school friends' cat would scratch me.

Grew up with dogs, and they're good companions. I feel like they're equally happy to eat food as see me, though. So i'm not sure just how important i am to them. And once they pass their 1 year puppy birthday and become an adult, they in my experience are fine flopping on the ground pretty immediately after their now much shorter bursts of excitement.

But once i had my own cat, it felt like more than just a companion who only liked me because i gave it food. Kitty was definitely more in tune to my emotional state. And i wasn't showered with affection (and this is where i think human personality preferences come in): and i preferred it that way. I would rather have a really deep and meaningful 5 minutes of Kitty walking back and forth on my bed as i pet her before bed every night once she hears my bed springs from me flopping down on it, than having my face licked.

But maybe that's just me - I don't like getting my face licked!

I don't know how to vote though because both animals have so many breeds. So i'm going spaded

The great thing about cats is they are extremely secretive about shitting unlike dogs who are extremely public and then the owner is meant to pick it up, fuck that shite.
