Just for the hell of it, and curiosity's sake....how many of you out there felt VERY strongly against EVER going the IV route? I mean, dead set against it....only to find yourself a lover of the needle now (or formerly for the ex-users)?

I would love to see just how many that said "NO WAY JOSE" ended up going there....also feel free to share what was the turning point for you? What were the circumstances that brought you to actually taking that first plunge? What made you say, "Oh hell, I'm going to give this a shot" (pun intended, lol)

I, for one.......am on that list and my turning point was access to a vial of injectable Dilaudid, curiosity killed the cat, couldn't help but to give it a go. First actual act of sticking that needle in my arm was freakin weird and unpleasant to say the least, yet now, how weird that something like that, the simple ACT of injecting and feeling of success when you see that register, could be so addicting in and of itself? I think it is powerful shit.

I will tally up the numbers periodically as we go.

In addition to mere interest, I think it would serve as a good reminder to those who are still in the "Hell No" group that anything is possible. I sincerely wish that those people DO stick to their guns. I wish I would have!!!

Thanks to everyone for their participation!!

(Mods...if you feel this is not an appropriate place for this thread, my apologies, and feel free to move it where necessary.)

Me. Lol. I used to be scared as fuck of needles and doctors and hospitals and everything.

Then one day, I got the idea, COOKING, haha. I was making deep fried cheesecake, and i wanted to try using an oral syringe (was around from my cat) to inject hot caramel into the cheesecake bites. So I did it. And while i was doing it...... I got the idea that I wanted to maybe try shooting up lol to see what it was like. my friend has diabetes and i knew he had syringes around so i asked him about it....

he was like i'll show you and cooked me up a shot and i wasnt gonna do it. I asked how long i could save it. He gave me a look like... you joking lol, and told me that I wouldnt have much luck saving it for very long. He said he'd do me right then and there so i was like okay. and it was a dilaudid for me, my first time, and FUCK. I LOVED IT.

And yeah it completely changed for me. Now its my preferred ROA for anything that can be IVd.

ALTHOUGH. I still would be afraid to get shots/blood drawn at the hospital/doctor's. I haven't had to experiecne that for a few years tho so (:

But little diabetic needles are hardly anything to be afraid of. 28-31g is nothing. JUST A LITTLE PINPRICK.

I swore up and down that I would never use a needle. Then one day I was withdrawing real bad, and my buddy said he would give me a bag to get me off e. The only condition was that I had to shoot it, since I would have barely felt 1 bag if I had just sniffed it. So, after much arguing, I let him shoot me up. Haven't sniffed anything since.
