Football and big promotion party yesterday. Very late to bed, couldn't sleep so listened to boxing. Eventually managed to sedate myself enough to sleep this morning. Listening to football promo/relegations and watching snooker this afternoon. Excitement levels very high since early yesterday, just got to last another 12 hours. Last time I had a weekend like this was Homelands and Wembley playoff in 1999. Tonight I will be partying like it's 1999. Getting ready now and knowing I won't be anywhere near the oldest there is a bonus.

Haha. On that subject, here's a photo of the "Blues Festival" we went to last night. It was in the Town Hall of a wee village a few miles away.

Kate and I were in the younger demographic. ;) I spent a good while outside speaking to a 70-year old ex-teacher while having a smoke. Lots of grey hair everywhere. :D

Great night though.

I understand yer reasoning there Blondin, and after 20 years on opiates I often get mistaken for being 10 years younger than I am. However, the previous decade I spent whizzing my tits off has probably balanced things out a little.

Being a stims fan and someone who rarely sits down, I've used up a lot more heartbeats than most but look younger than I am. Koko security commented when they checked my ID last night and another guy didn't believe I was old enough to have been clubbing in the 90s, I'd actually had two kids by then. I still put it down to 15 years of gb and lots of supplements.
 
I respectfully disagree. People I know who take drugs and don't drink or drink little look a lot younger than they are entitled to look. This applies to me and more so to my friends and even fucking more to my gf who I put a picture of on here the other day. She looks about 20 years younger than she is. And thats other peoples opinion, not my biased one.
 
I think we're all pre-disposed to taking drugs. I think it's an innate desire in all of us. I think (I think a lot don't I?) the question is more 'what stops some of us from taking drugs?'. Or even, 'why do some of us take drugs despite the dominant culture (ooh, haven't used that phrase on here in a while) telling us not to?'

Or...something.

Do you drink lots? Maybe opiates aren't conducive to looking young? Just putting it out there. Opiates aren't my (or my friends) thing. I admit this is cannabis and 'amphetamine-type' drugs I am putting forward as the elixir of youth. It's just my experience and I'm more than happy to accept others have different experience.

I was robbed of a 30th celebration / get fucked up ceremony as I found out I was pregnant on my birthday. I did have the meltdown though.

My 40th will be a different story. Am currently 34.
 
The only birthday party I ever had was my 30th. My house was packed - there was wall to wall food, booze and drugs. What did I do? Spend most of the night in my bedroom with 4 others, just taking smack... I'm such an antisocial git at times :(
 
I lost my 30th birthday to MDPV as I turned 30 at the height of my addiction of 2 years, I think I was in mental hospital for a week just after my birthday because of MDPV psychosis. Some things you can never get back I guess. Not that I care much about birthdays but it felt kind of like one day I was in my late twenties then suddenly I was 32, lost a good bit out of what should be important years of your life. Now I'm approaching 35 and just count my lucky blessings that I'm still alive, because I was a very very reckless idiot with drugs for a while back then :|

Lawdy. Younger than me yet I only just barely remember you as a regular poster (I was not a regular poster at that time). Warpiness of time etc. Hope this represents more than a flying visit <3
