I didn't know that this belief had a specific name, although I never cared if honestly. But, i've felt this way for a long time, and always wondered why society is the way it is, and why do things like laws, policy, etc. exist and why do they become accepted as the 'normal' way of life? Because other people tell us 'it's just the way things are'? I'd love to explore this subject further as i'm pretty new to the theory/belief but am very interested in learning more about it. Discuss.

Edit: Figured this fit best in this forum, if it needs to be moved, mods feel free.

After reading through this post several times, I am still unclear as to what exactly you intended to communicate therein, let alone what you wish to discuss (other than 'Political Nihilism'). If you simply want to learn more about this thread's eponymous topic(?), there's always Wikipedia. They love '-isms' over there.

Also, for future reference, see the addenda in the P&S Forum Guidelines, item 2:

- Narrow your scope. Try to avoid "universals" like the dreaded "Does God Exist?". Not only are these discussions bound to appear in one form or another in more well-defined threads where they actually have a purpose, but also can be found in already-existing threads by searching for them. In other words, if it's a big question, it probably already has a big thread, so UTFSE.

Another protip: Original posts ending with a sentence that consists solely of the word 'Discuss' followed by a period rarely receive any substantive responses outside of The Lounge or 4chan. Closed.
