SALEM, Ore. -- Police in Salem say three men were arrested last weekend after officers responded to a report of the men fighting naked.

Police said officers later found out that all three men took the hallucinogenic drug LSD.

Officers used stun guns on two of the men without any apparent effect before they were subdued. One was found lying naked in a street and the other was hiding in a back yard.

Idiots like these make LSD use hard to justify. They don't understand for this one scenario, many people have benefited greatly from the chemical, myself included. Just another media horror story for the books. The whole not responding to tasers among other force makes me wonder if it was really LSD. PCP can cause such psychosis and numbness but LSD isn't the same way.

The comment section of this article is hilarious btw lol.

I'm sure they weren't doing ACTUAL harm to themselves or anyone else.. I've had the urge to get nudie and run around on LSD.. lol who hasn't?

^perhaps but i wouldn't be fighting naked with my friends lol, perhaps the lsd uncovered some hidden desires. Really, if you want to fight with your friends naked, you should be able to do so while on drugs or not. The 3 men should have been better informed (harm reduction) and fought naked inside their own home in a safe and healthy manner.

It's very simple to justify. Look at the ratio of violence between LSD versus alcohol.

If a society can justify alcohol being legal, it should have absolutely no problem justifying ANYTHING being legal.

...seconds before police arrived...

There is a glorious tradition of fighting naked from ancient to modern times, typically encouraged by correspondence with the devil.

Gen. Butt Naked. According to a phone call he says he received from Satan as a teenager [again, this is fucking TRUE], Butt and his boys would be invincible in battle so long as they fought nude.

That's from a Vice article called General Butt Naked vs. The Tupac Army, found here.

Anyway, who hasn't gotten naked on acid (or at least wanted to)?

On paper, it is simple to justify, but in actual practice, just try. I wish I could tell the world about acid but that simply won't get me anywhere. I suppose I should've posted "successfully justify." Don't get me wrong, LSD is my favorite drug. I just know that whoever saw these guys fighting naked and reported is more than likely not ever going to take acid. They didn't cause trouble-in my eyes. Once again, we bluelighters and the rest of general population have different views. Anyone who doesn't know anything about LSD isn't going to be like "wow, that stuff causes you to fight naked, why don't I try it?"

I know that LSD wasn't responsible but that doesn't matter.

Society doesn't really justify alcohol being legal, it simply is a part of culture. I don't agree with it but I obviously can't change history/culture and so I put up with it just like anyone else who doesn't like alcohols legality. Alcohol is incredibly dangerous but one of the most dangerous aspects is that to get it, all you need is to be 21, and you can use it 24/7, and blah blah blah, the list goes on and on. This doesn't apply to most illicit drugs but the law is the law and we can't fight it, at least the lsd law at this point in time. T

The country is having trouble making pot legal, LSD is a loong ways away, imo.

@Kaywholed

I knew this kid who used to jump random people and start fights and shit on acid. Everyone reacts to drugs differently. I don't think I would ever start a fight on acid, but I don't really think I'd back down from one either.

^ that is scary. He must have some demons in his closet (head). I'm not sure I'd really understand the point of a fight if I were on acid, I don't now but I'd more than likely reason with the person. I've never been in a real fight but I've talked my way out of trouble with angry, agressive people several times. Most violence is unnecessary. Not trying to get all stereotypical hippy, peace loving shit but one thing that LSD taught me, among many things, is that physical altercations often do more harm than good.

I would never start a fight on LSD. Too many beautiful things were always happening between me & the world or me & my gf, who has time for negativity? I did know trouble makers i high school that would drop acid like I ate skittles, they abused it for the wrong reasons.

Yes, I could never fathom those who took LSD in an abusable way and caused trouble. I guess it really does have infinite uses !

hahaha a buddy of mine and his brother just moved to oregon not too long ago and when i read this i thought good to see they are doing well lol. this sounds like something the two of them would do, but its not them.
