I've been saving for a car and was hoping to just get some beater that'll run and last for $2-$3,000

The I thought mayb I could get a better deal at a police auction where they auction off confiscated cars and shit from like tax fraud ppl or w.e. Ive never been to one but has anyone else maybe shed some experience or w.e

I have been to a car auction. It wasn't all cop shit though but, yeah man depending on how hot the car is you can get some killer deals. It's hard to tell what you will actually pay though because it is an auction after all but, basically you can walk around and pick a few that you wanna bid on and when the time comes they drive em down a line and auction off one car at a time. I'm sure all of them are different in their own ways but, the ones I've been to you have time to give the car a once over before you have to bid.

Not sure how it works state to state but, in MA you will still have to pay sales tax on the vehicle based on the bluebook value of the car. Mot what you paid for it so that's definitely something to think of. Good luck man and remember a lot of the time you're getting the vehicle as is so make sure you actually give it a good look and check it over as best you can like looking at the oil, giving the motor a good listen while it's running, and looking to see that it's not blowing black or thick white exhaust.

The police auctions I have been to never had cars. I did score a mountain bike for $15 and 3 mag lights for $5. Definatley some good shit to be had. Can't really give any advice on cars though.
