Poison dose? overreaction?

Hey guys, so I got an alarming message this morning from my friend saying that he and his girlfriend took 3 tabs each of some acid common to both of us, and that about 3 hours in they both started puking. Not just nauseas and sick feeliong like L usually can do but actually being sick. Other people have taken these and said they were strong, some people said they were weak or bunk, and then this happens. What could have caused this? impurities? a research chem.? just baffled because whatever it is is in very low quantities

Sounds like a Serotonin overload. Even if they were actually sick it happens to a mate of mine every time (without fail) he does it. So he usually speeds up the process with his fingers.
If it wasn't that perhaps it's something more mundane they were poisoned from food? both caught something? Could perhaps be a mix of the two? Off food but no bad nausea (body dealing with it without telling you about it as much) and then along comes tab of lsd which kicks nausea into hyperdrive.

This makes sense. It sounds like my own reaction to mushrooms, having more or less nausea depending on what i'v eaten. I have definitely known a few people to puke from tripping too hard but i'm not sure how hard these two were going when it happened. I haven't heard back so I assume that he is sleeping it off now but I will get more details.

It sounds like a reaction one would normally have if taking serotogenic psychedelics while on SSRI's. Were they on a current regiment of antidepressants?

all 5HT2a psychedelics can make you throw up. its doesn't mean anything. it can be too high a dose, psychosomatic (negative thoughts making you vomit), sensory overload, too much food in your stomach, mixing with *insert anything from a variety of different drugs here*

mushrooms can make you vomit

lsd can make you vomit

mescaline can make you vomit.

2cb and 2ci always made me throw up so i dont take them anymore

If some people reported that it was bunk maybe there is an NBOMe drug on the blotters, and they took it orally (NBOMe's don't work orally). About getting sick: it doesn't really matter what is on the blotters regarding the throwing up because like pofacedhoe says all of these psychedelics can do this - it can be psychological or stimulation of certain brain regions or activation of 5-HT3 receptors although NBOMe drugs may not act on those.

I've done a great deal of speculation here which is not a good thing here. So let me emphasize that yes a number of possibilities have been mentioned by me and others but no we cannot know for sure what happened unless you get the hits tested.

(I would not even exclude bad quality LSD as a possibility)
