Broken hearted and sitting in the middle of the floor
Holding the candle to a long year that blew out only moments before
The whole world shattering around me
I don't care what you think!
My world is falling apart
And I am hurting and I can not help it
I try and try to push it away
Clinging to me like a scared child to a mother
I cling to my familiar times...
That are now breaking
I tried to catch the pieces... I promise I did
But they just fell right through my hands
Leaving torn skin and blood, lost happy thoughts and memories
My world is falling apart and I don't know you anymore
How do you turn to a place for comfort when they are the reason of it all?
You can't, and life just has to go on
Though you feel like it will kill you... it won't
I can promise you one thing, hold on to the things that matter
Let the things that mean nothing completely go and your world will begin to be complete.
Hold on to love if it is real
Leave if the party gets rough
Keep your promises
Do not lie, it hurts you more in the end than that person
Selfishness only gets you what you don't want
Be kind, love with all you have
Holding back can give you back trouble... hehe just kidding
Truly though, when it all seems to go down, if you are a true person then when you are down and out then you will have some one to turn to.
Yea though I feel like I am dieing right now, I know I will be ok later.
I know somebody loves me.
And I hope that all of them know just how much I love them too.
This started out to be a poem about how I feel right now, but as I went along I came to see how I could make it better... and I hope that you understand.
