The Poem of the Week this week was again a very hard choice....he's been quite an addition to the Words forum since he has been posting his exceptionally written pieces...

It is my pleasure to announce this weeks poem of the week to DarkPoet..

keep on writing, and whatever is inspiring you, keep it up!

Always, Somewhere

There is always something to be said when faced with extremes of uncontrollable virtue, tho’ they are not always the most fragrant of words.

There is always something to be thought when running half blind down a cantankerous alleyway that is just short of being a giant mole rats tunnel.

Usually these two things can be surmised with the simple sentence/question “Who’s got the torch and how much do they want for it?” Of course many a simple incoherent will not only lend you a torch but also advise that “You’re a long way from home buddy”

Not that that helps at all.

Someone always believes there is a better day to come.
Somewhere is worse than nowhere, cause in nowhere no one cares and nothing matters, which is also pretty bad when you think about it.

My advice, find a torch, avoid dark alleys and always smile for the virtuous, after all, who knows when a virtue might come in handy.

Oh and if you see a giant mole rat, try not to look too much like breakfast.

Congrats to you!!!!!!

I missed this one on the board! I am always glad to see some kick ass prose in here. Much deserved reward for a great piece of work!
