Cherub and I both agreed that BrightEyesIsMe has had some amazing poetry lately, and that her poetry has progressed quite dramatically since she began posting here, this one is the one we think that really stood out this week, I have thought she has been deserving for a while~knowing her personally really helps me understand her and what she's going through. As well as being an amazing writer, she also an amazing person....

Bringing Myself To Life
Waking the demon inside of me
I believe it was the most hazardous thing I have ever done
I believed you , my depth demon would tear me up
Making this time on like hell
But when you came to me
You did not frown, or smirk
You did something that I would never expect
Your back that was humped and covered in scales
Tore open…
Something begin to tear through the skin
I could see the agony on your face
Ripping and tearing until those wings of silver lined beauty stretched out
Your eyes of red turned pink
Your body of muscle and claws turned to a glowing peach color
Your hair of course black turned blonde and flowed behind you
Your lips once curled in hate turned red and full
You looked like an angel or fairy
I was afraid…why would you live inside of me making me so sad ,
Putting me through that pain for all of my days?
I began to cry, I was afraid that you might strike me
So I hid my tear stained face in my sleeve
You took my chin and said “Look to me”
My eyes raised and I look into you, all of you
You rested your hand on my shoulder
“I have a story for you”
She said to me as my shivering body subsided
“You have set me free, all of your anger , hate, and pain turned me
I was as a child when you were, But the place you stored these feelings were my sanctuary
My home in your heart
You possessed me with evil
But now you have come back to the one I knew
You possess the heart of a child and you hold the innocence
I give you now a key for now you have learned your lesson”
I tucked the key into my pocket of precious treasures
You began to fade and inside back you went
At peace I was that day
And from then on may I always find that peace that lives with in.
