Opioids Pod Tea - Tolerance, and getting rid of it

So it's been about a month since the last time I had pod tea - I was at about 2 times a week (once in a great while I would do 3) and decided I needed to go cold turkey for a while. I got the sniffles, but other than that I have had only very mild w/d symptoms.

I also noticed that during the 2 months I was using weekly, my tolerance shot up - I went from needing no more than 3 pods to feel nice to needing 6 or more to really get a good, warm, noticeable buzz going.

Has anyone quit for any extended period of time and then started drinking the tea again? If so how long were you off and how did the high compare after the hiatus? I want to keep this break going until I can get that original feeling back - which may never happen, but thats why I am asking on here :)

So I guess the long and short of it is how long do should I need to remain off of them to get back to the "honeymoon" stage?

I use pods every summer as a natural alternative to prescription pain drugs. I used opium tea last year for 3 months & began again this june with my last tea being 2 weeks ago.

I always find the 'magic' is better than i remember after 1 year, but each year the duration of the high goes down from 20 hours to say 8/12 hours quicker within the first few doses.

Also around this period my tolerance to codeine goes through the roof when i'm off poppy tea.

interesting. So you are still taking codeine during the rest of the year? If so wouldn't that still keep your tolerance somewhat elevated?

That was definitely something else I noticed as my usage became more frequent - the duration of the high began to dwindle. At the beginning, I could take it at 5:00 PM and still feel it when I woke up the next day - but as it progressed, the duration seemed to shorten drastically, sometimes to the point where I could take it around noon and be back to normal by 7 or 8.

Yes when it gets to daily use over a period of weeks 8 hours is the norm. However if this is the case, redosing 1 hour after your normal dose should extend things by at least 4 hours if not six as the second dose takes longer to metabolize.

No using codeine throughout the year does not seem to affect my tolerance to poppy tea; opium is just sooo much stronger;

Normally i can take 60/180 mg of codeine & it is very effective, around 120+ i'll often feel a nice warmth, significant pain relief & mood lift- after using poppy tea even a couple of times i'll need 240/360 mg just to even feel it.
