I realize this isnt a chemistry site, I just wanted to know if anyone else has dealt with putty derived from dried poppy pods. I found them at a local craft store, they were all about golf ball sized or smaller, but they were very well intact, not painted on or drilled out or de-seeded. Plus I got about 100 pods total for around $15. I only used about 8-10 pods in this experiment.
My tolerance is VERY high, seriously, a kid could OD from smelling my urine. Im not "dicksizing", but I shoot 180-240mg of oxycodone (at once) to get a decent buzz, but can still drive home and dont nod off (believe me im not doing it wrong, ive gotten to practice different extraction methods many many times and know how to do it) . One time I took 410mg of methadone, and of course got really high, but this would probably turn a grizzly bear blue. This would kill any non-tolerant or even moderately tolerant people.
Thus, this 2.5 grams of pod putty probably contains 80-200mg of morphine, and a whole bunch of other crap, and eating it would probably just give me a stomach ache. 200mg of oral morphine will not get me high. Ive taken poppy tea when my tolerance wasnt so huge, and i thought the high was dirty and didnt like the speedy thebaine aspect of it. According to this chart (
http://www.globalrph.com/narcotic.htm), i'd have to take a 1000mg of oral morphine to get similar effect of 240mg IV oxycodone. So that means i'd have to eat at least 10 grams of putty to get 1000mg of morphine, not to mention the other weird quinoline alkaloids in that putty, like kappa and sigma agonists , so essentially i would be tripping hard and puking my guts out along with a mild buzz. I need to refine this shit somehow, just wondered what solvent would be good, and I was hoping someone here has dealt with pod putty and its purification, but I suppose not. Should i dissolve it in HCL and try to get morphine crystals, or use calcium chloride to get calcium morphonate or ? Hmmmmm.........
