PMMA - how long does it stay in the system?

I live in the UK but have recently been traveling in Asia. Earlier this week, I was in Bangkok, Thailand and was given some ecstacy pills by a local person there. I later suspected these pills to have contained PMMA. This is because they had a Superman logo (I found out later that Superman logo pills that were found to contain PMMA had caused several deaths earlier this year) and because of the effect these pills had on me. I took 2 pills on Monday morning local time (96 hours ago). Initially I took 1 pill, then I took half more after an hour and a half and then another half a couple of hours after that. Two hours after that I felt short of breath and heart palpitations. I was rushed to ER, where I was given injections to reduce my heart rate and then monitored overnight. I felt better in the morning, so I was discharged that afternoon and flew from Bangkok to Karachi, where I was planning on going next to visit my parents. During the night, I started feeling feverish and took Paracetamol to reduce the fever. By the morning, my fever had spiked to 103F, so I rushed to ER in Karachi, having read up that PMMA caused hyperthermia. Overnight stay in ER and Special Care Unit stabilised my fever, so I was allowed to be discharged. I was ok during the night and did not have any fever. This morning I have started feeling some of the same symptoms I felt in Bangkok (racing heart, feeling heaviness on my chest). I have not been able to sleep well last 4 nights, so its possible that's also causing some anxiety to my system. However, I'm worried that the PMMA is still in my system and am not sure what needs to be done.

Neither of the two hospitals (Bangkok or Karachi) knew anything about PMMA or how to treat a patient who might have had a PMMA overdose, so I'm reaching out the community here to get advice. Based on what I've read myself on the internet, there's no antidote for PMMA, and treatment is based on treating and controlling the symptoms. Does anyone have any experience with having taken PMMA? How long does it take for the PMMA to get out of the system? How long will I feel some effects from it? Is there anything else I should be doing? Any advice would be much appreciated.

You're probably just anxious from what happened to you... I don't think PMMA last for four days, don't know for sure though as it's hard to find info on this. I think I might've once taken a pill that had PMMA in it or perhaps some piperazine as I felt very hot a few hours after taking it, for the rest it still felt somewhat pleasant. Next day I had a pretty bad hangover but was fine for the rest.

Hope it's a lesson learned though, don't take pills you bought of randos on the street somewhere. If you do, TEST THAT SHIT before you take it!

QUALITATIVE COMMENTS: (with 110 mg) One hour into it, my pulse was up over 100, and I was compulsively yawning. There was some eye muscle disturbance, a little like the physical side of MDMA, but there was none of its central effects. But all the hints of the cardiovascular are there. By the fourth hour, I am pretty much back to baseline, but the yawning is still very much part of it. I might repeat this, at the same level, but with continuous close monitoring of the body.

I don't think the effects stay more than 1 day.

To add to the previous two posts: PIKHAL states the duration of PMMA is "short."

Personally, I never had an OD but I came close and had some pretty scary experiences. I do think it is "normal" that you are anxious afterwards, as you're trying to process what happened there.

Furthermore, I would guess that, considering you probably had serotonine syndrome, your serotonine levels are low. Maybe somebody from the field can say more about this. Anyway, I would think it will take some time for your serotonine levels to recover. The good news is: You can expect to feel better!

What color supermans?? I doubt it was pmma as the effects don't last as long and you would probably be dead if you took two of the pmma SM's. I bet meth.

I was gonna say meth pills are extremely popular in Bangkok, its quite likely. The supermans which contained PM(M)A were like pink/red I believe btw

I doubt the dirty supermans made it to Thailand. Yabba (Thai meth) is very common in BKK. Hydration and sleep are your best bet.

Also, gtfo of Pakistan as soon as you feel well enough to travel. Muslim countries are not very empathetic to drug users that present themselves to hospital for treatment.
