But I need it atm.

This has happened before when i was using a plunger to filter with compacted cotton.

Shit happens. Get a new rig. Don't try to "fix" an old one; they are one time use only.

sometimes rigs are not easily accessible to people in certain areas because pharmacies won't sell them to us OTC, either because they can't do it in the state or we look strung out or something, which I don't understand, even if we were using them for narcotics, why would you want someone to use dirty needles?

to fix plunger snaps i usually take the top part that snapped and dip it in a glue stick then stick it on there w/ the other piece and secure it with a thin layer of tape. apply a small, small amount of vaseline and everything is 100. when the rubber gets dislocated i remove my needle tip and use a paper clip to push it out.
