The tissue in the rectum is similar to those in nasal passages, very thin and permeable by water-soluble drugs. Back when i didnt have a big tolerance, I would sometimes plug 40mg-80mg of finely ground oxycontin in a capsule, mainly during my 10 minute break at work, because snorting would cause drip and other problems. It worked pretty well, came on strong with a nice smooth ruse. It is definately more powerfull than when taken orally. I stopped doing this when i started injecting. More recently, I obtained some 5mg oxymorphone suppositories, and plugging two produced a weak high, most likely due to the 180mg of methadone i take daily. When plugging things, do not use petroleum jelly or other oil based lubricant, because it covers whatever your plugging with a layer of film that prevents it from being absorbed, as oil based substance are not water-soluble. You need to make sure that your bowels are empty, and its best to get the pill/capsule as far in as possible. Plugging isnt exactly fun, but if necessary, it isnt really a big deal.
