Paracetamol is available in suppository formulations, so I can't imagine it would be problematic to plug Panadeine Forte (well any more problematic than the stinky fingers you might get from plugging anything ;))

Having said that, I would first crush it, since it is pressed to dissolve in the stomach, not simply the moisture of your rectum.






....Or you could just CWE.

Just tell your doc that codeine isn't helping and you need something better. Seriously, people get too intimidated by doctors. If you are honest, and not doctor shopping, then the doctor has to respond to your needs. if he won't then go get a new doctor. He can't know what you are going through unless you tell him and if he won' help then he's not doing his job and your well within your rights to seek a second opinion. You shouldn't need to be sticking your meds up your arse just to get the pain relief you deserve.

ahh if you are in that much pain i would talk to the doctor again tell tham how much pain you are in and if they refuse to treat you ask them to refer you to a pain mangment clinic as it would appear they are not capable to handle your pain issues. you dont take your car back to a shit mechanic after paying good money for a service- so demand the service off your doctor.

the only reason i would suspect that they are holding back giving you something stronger would be because of drug seeking- eg "more of anything" is usually a good sign to tell doctors ;) what is your condition if you dont mind me asking?
 
Im curious too. Panadeine Forte is normally prescribed for relatively low pain relief. U should go back to the doc and tell him its not working so he/she can look into a diferent treatment.
 
age can also be a factor. if youre in your teens and early 20's then without supporting evidence of your injury - xrays, mris, specialist reports, etc - then youve got slim chance getting anything more than tramadol or codeine on a regular basis. even with all the necessary documentation your doctor can be another deciding factor on what youll receive.

as madmick said, asked to be referred to a pain management dr or see another GP if youre unhappy.
 
Ok please don't laugh but it is severe pain related to that time of the month that has increased considerably over the last 12 months or so. I am 32 and currently having it investigated.

I just hope they take me seriously and don't see me as a drug seeker as I have unrelated anxiety and depression issues as well.
 
talk to you doctor about alprazolam. My wife finds alprazolam superior to morphine for 'that time of the month'.
 
it is amazing how much pain relief a benzo will give, especially when it is used for short term problems. I.e. Period pain
 
For pain i find codeine (nurofen +) to be quite effective. Stronger pain like when my wisdom tooth plays up id pop 20-30mg oxy. Heck even if i dont have any pain id still pop half an 80 pill :(

Benzos just knock u out at high doses and im guessing ur more tolerable to pain when ur body is resting/sleeping.

Although I lack any form of "Dr" salutation before my name, or "Phd" after my name, I would be wary of using Alpraz for pain (especially menstrual, or any that is related to hormone imbalance).

It is a wonderful drug, but it can be very unpredictable; especially if used when there is any other drug present (especially alcohol).

Diazepam is prescribed to a significant portion of my female friends, for menstrual pain; mostly for its skeletal muscle relaxation, antispasmodic and longer, less stupefying anxiolytic capabilities than most other benzos.


Alpraz has these same effects, but there is less chance* of taking too much with Diaz, because of "It isn't working" syndrome, or because anterograde amnesia and general benzo stupification stop your "Enough is enough" filter.

And this is without going into Alprazolams horrifyingly fast and powerrful addiction potential......

*Again. Not a doctor. Just a Pharm Chem student.

Codeine is very sensitive to light, and to a lesser extent heat. a fan in a dark room would be effective, but it is time consuming.

I stumbled on Rosee's thread just by a quick goggle twig because I'm about to plug 10 fortes but the only thing i could use as an enema are some 3ml syringes.

I know CWE but i don't fancy evaporating and would never use 20ml for 10 fortes, more like 50ml inc rewash. so 20ml for 10 fortes with no rewash is not going to be exceptionally efficient, but i was thinking maybe using 20 fortes with 20 ml and no rewash. i could use the rewash for another recreational oral dose another time... anyway i got some prep to do... will read the rest of this thread as my pills are simultaneously dissolving AND COOLING
 
Ewww...Dude, just swallow the pills whole. Don't go shoving shit up your butt!! Not unless your gay, I aint prejudice i dont give a fuck....but codeine phosphate on the other hand...snort that shit up my nigggawz
