I plug 10-12mg of dilaudid and it has no effect. I wonder if perhaps I am not getting the syringe up far enough. How far should it go? How long is a typical poop chute? I'm afraid that if I am doing it wrong, that increasing the dose will be dangerous if I finally do it properly. I am a big guy and I take 20mg at a time orally. Also, how do I avoid gettting air up there? It is very uncomfortable plus it makes for some nasty loud noises too.
Thank you

There is a big and dandy Rectal Administration thread somewhere on the site, I can't remember if it is in the Other Drugs Directory or the PD one though.

What size syringe are you using to plug? A long thin one is probably better for plugging, it was when I used to plug drugs. Get it as far up as possible without losing it is my advice, more chance or getting good absorbtion too, and also make sure that you have had a poo about two hours before you plug or you could just be planting the drugs into some poop.

There is a megathread about plugging somewhere, try the search enging for "rectal administration" and you should find it :)

I take 20mg orally 3 times a day.
I don't know if that is alot but I don't think so.
When plugging, I find a lot of material gets left in the syringe too.
I think my problem is the syringe itself. I don't know where to get proper ones.
The pharmacies sell giant wide ones or ones that just are not shaped right.
I appreciate your help. I have nobody to talk to about these things.

You could always just get regular needles, and snap the tip off. Not the best idea, you might poke yourself, but I've done that before due to only having one needle, and the tip accidentally breaking.

Instead of wasting it, plugged instead, worked fine. The 1cc/1ml syringes are pretty small, go up easily. I never shoot things I can't fit in a 1 cc syringe though, so I don't know if you need a larger one.
