Plugged DMT....

I was going to post a tread about wether dmt works by this method how was it compared to smoked? Do u need a moai
 
The venous bloodvessels of the hindmost part of the colon don't get into the hepatic portal vein (liver is a bad place for monoamines) but to the heart (avoids first-pass metabolism). So in theory, the portion of the DMT that's absorbed there should distribute into the body and produce central effects, if I'm not wrong. Never tried that though.
 
From all posts I recall about this in the past it doesn't work well. I think it does still work, but it's unpredictable how much more you need. I couldn't tell you why since rectal bypasses DMTs enzymatic nemesis for the most part. Jamshyd posed a similar question about rectal ketamine years ago. Both ketamine and DMT work nasally, but poorly rectally (w/ketamine being about equipotent to oral). The best guess the people in that thread came up with is that it's simply poor absorption. Something about the chemical properties of ketamine (and perhaps DMT) makes it absorb poorly in that tissue as compared to the mucus membranes of the nose (this trend is somewhat reversed with many other compounds, with rectal often having significantly higher bioavailability than nasal [e.g. MXE, many opiates, and, I think, amphetamine]). It may be possible to vastly increase absorption by mixing DMT with something like PEG-g-chitosan (emphasis on "something" because I really have zero idea - just saying because I've heard it mentioned that it works for other drugs).

I have never plugged DMT but I have plugged DPT. At 100mg, the effects were threshold . . . maybe.

I know 100mg insufflated would have torn me a new one so I don't know how effective this really is.

How much did you plug OP?
 
Depending on when your last bowel movement was, and the levels of gastric residue in your colon, it's entirely possible that DMT is inactive rectally for the same reason it is inactive orally. The MAO enzymes that are responsible for destroying it in the stomach (before reaching the blood) are present in the gastric fluid that reaches the colon itself. So either take a good cleansing enema before dosing, or include a bit of MAOI in your DMT dose before applying rectally.

Additionally, freebase compounds are only marginally soluble in water and probably very irritating to mucous membranes. So I'd prep DMT for rectal use just like I'd prep it for IV or IM use-- neutralize with citric acid to make the water soluble salt.
 
Eye balled 50mg.. Not all of it dessolved .. Clogged my syringe.. Fucking wasted it and it made my ass burn. Didn't even trip. I just feel asleep waiting for my trip......

I'd rather smoke it..
 
DMT freebase is strongly alkaline, you'd need to make it ph neutral with some white vinegar to use it rectally.

I don't think it will be active rectally without an MAOI - it will be similar to subluingal, you'll feel something but it will be a waste of DMT.
