I met this guy and we were going out for 3 weeks, everything i thought was going well, We were spending so much time together after work, going for a nice meal or walk, nice chats over coffee, watched movies cuddling on the sofa, he did hold my shopping bags , he introduced me to his friends, took me out for my birthday, was really impressed the way things were going as he did come across like a very nice, well mannered, professional guy.

From the first day we met we did talk a lot about our life and he said cant believe how we did click, i feel so at ease with you.

We did spend the weekend together, went out for meals then a nice club for a dance. He left my place on monday afternoon as was bank holiday and had a few things work wise to sort for tuesday. On tuesday he said that his brother died, i did try to call him but he said via text that has been crying all afternoon , did offer my support but baring in mind that i only know this guy for a few weeks did not know how to be there for him, all i said is that i am here for you if you need a chat or a cuddle, if u think i can help in anyway , i am here for you. He called me really late that night and went to see him, the next morning which is wednesday he said that is going to see his parents for the first time in 9 years,
thought he did need time so i was only texting to see how he is, and always he said i am good hun, need time for me at the moment tho, which i do understand.

On friday i did text him, saying can i come to yours for a coffee and a chat or just watch a movie, all i got was... sorry ... not at home...

On saturday he did promise to pick me and my friend up to go for a drink, 2 hours later he did council saying he had work to do that he forgot about...

I send him a text saying i do understand that you have a lot going on but you are not talking to me at all..
On saturday he said he needs time to finish things work wise, and promised that by october everything will be sorted and will be all mine...and i knew he has lots going on as been to his work... on top of that his brother died last tuesday so he is grieving as well... but on monday he dumped me via a text saying... i am really sorry i have not been very talkative lately but been extremely busy ... plus i did meet a girl on friday and i really like her a lot, met her on sunday again and we just clicked, so sorry as I really really like you , you are amazing but have to be true to myself and my feelings.


I do feel really hurt, i know was a short time but i really did like him .....

Shall i send him a letter explaining how i feel?

Classy. He did it through text message. If the guy is such a pussy that he does it over a text, then consider that he did you a favor. That was a douche move.

I think you might have misread him a little though, or he might have led you on. Either one is possible, but I would just leave him alone. If it was a few months of this and then it happened, I'd say ask for answers, but it's only been three weeks, and he just kinda flaked out.

Three weeks is about the flake out period when you know someone is cool but you're not really falling for that person like you want to, so you call it off.

Don't worry about it, chica. Someone else will come along, I promise. The dating world sucks sometimes.
