Uhh, hello! Glad to see you back online :)

My God...I had no idea.

The past is the past, while I think it's good for mods to have some knowledge of a forum's history, it's not as important as the present and the future. You'll find your own challenges in the position and you shouldn't weigh yourself down with what other people tell you the forum was like "back then". It's your job now to do something about what the forum will become. :)

Welcome back 6/7 too.

LoL I think it's funny how people get butt hurt over people simply congratulating someone for becoming a mod and such. Im not on bluelight to run around and kiss anyone's ass. I've made that very apparent on many occasions. But I am here to help people and spread harm reduction information in any form I can. Me an Captain Heroin have talked a few times in threads and in PM's and I genuinely think he is a great guy to represent OD as a moderator. That's why I posted congratulations in this thread. If I didn't think the mod they chose was a worthwhile contribution to OD I wouldn't have posted crap. Simple as that. Being someone who genuinely cares about bluelight, and especially OD i'm happy to congratulate anyone who I feel will be a good contribution to harm reduction on this specific forum of bluelight. I believe OD is one of the hardest forums to keep a good grasp on harm reduction because we cover such a wide and varied amount of dangerous substances of abuse all on one forum. Our scope of "practice" so to say is VERY broad.

To be frank I feel OD also needed another mod familiar with IV abuse as well as opiate abuse. I think opiates, prescription and non play a huge part in this forum. Not only is Captain Heroin a recovering IV heroin addict but he is also experienced with Suboxone/Subutex maintenance which is another big part of this forum as it's a topic that comes up quite often & contains a lot of misinformation. So yes, I welcome him as a new addition to the bluelight mods in OD. Many may not care who the "Mods" are and like you said its "your life" but OD wouldn't be possible & would be a complete chaotic mess without the Mods to keep things inline with proper information relevant to harm reduction. There are reasons why bluelight is the #1 forum visited by me for the last 6 years. It's the only one I feel is regulated properly with the common goal of harm reduction really at heart.

^ IV opiates and Suboxone is one thing we have a good grasp on in OD, I would say. As you've pointed out, C.H is well experienced with both, but so are Unknown and myself. On the other hand, we have leftwing who uses/used buprenorphine in various forms as a pain management tool, which is something rather unique and brings a fresh perspective to the debate that we didn't really have before him. All of this makes me feel very confident in the OD Staff - along with our loyal group of forum regulars - being a powerful force in educating others on both topics, which I would say are what a vast majority of the threads in OD cover.

Good points you've made.

Welcome back 6/7 too.

Thanks, man. I'm glad to be back.

Right on brother. I'm already liking what i'm seeing in OD, you're cleaning up the repetitive threads and things that don't really belong in OD. Maybe we'll soon see an OD like in the old BL days :)
