Sorry didn't know where to post!!
I had strange morphing in my vision very distinctly and intensely, like after you get hit with nerve gas in call of duty.

After going on a fairly long walk through the forest I stopped to look at a wooden bench. The bench started warping and moving almost like from shrooms or LSD, but only the bench and no extra colors. It would move in and out and up and down like it was being stretched and shrunk.
After walking a little while more I stopped again to look at a view through the trees, again a strange morphing shrinking view took on my vision. It was like it was painted on rubber and being stretched again, I lost most depth perception it was like my vision was a single image that was morphing in such a weird way. The next thing was a hollow tree, I could see these moving particles in the darkness and it looked as if everything was moving around and into the center of my vision as if it was going into a portal in the center or star travel in startreck but opposit direction. It reminded me soo much of what a high dose of LSD would do to the vision without any other psychedelic effects besides the morphing.

What is this!? I only smoked a single joint which I have a 6 a day habit and snorted a little bit of some average coke. Nothing like this has happened before, the only thing I can think of was that it was from the constant walking that my vision got used to it, like that natural hallucinogen you-tube video....
Also the person I was with said they saw something very similar after I expressed my experience.

I don't think it counts as a natural hallucination when you've been smoking weed and snorting coke.

Maybe I always thought I had some symptoms butttttt this was way different and I have had the same static and schrers phenomenon ever since. Never warping in my vision.

Also, I was not High anymore from the coke about an hour after snorting a small line, and only a .4 joint also about 45 minutes later

Nah this is definitely due to the weed and coke, even if you weren't feeling them anymore. After I take a psychedelic for a few days after if I take ANY kind of drug my vision will be affected in some way, like words i'm reading will be lighter than the rest, or if i scroll down a page on a computer the lines dance around... its pretty fun actually.
But you'll be alright.

^^^^^ That too. Once you notice things are off it multiplies that fact as well.

Is taking a fairly long walk and being in a forest normal for you?

No its not normal to take a walk in the forest. I haven't in a while. I'm used to some visual distortions but nothing of this nature. I thought it was retinal detachment it was so severe. Ohhh and i hadn't taken my sub for that day yet... I guess it could have been due to pupil dilation magnifying some visual distortion.

I would not call it a flash back at all. I also would not call the distortions mild. Much more prominent than any visuals I have had while sober even stronger than some hallucinations from psychs. Yet it felt so naturual... So programmed

i've had similar things happen to me with dextromethylphenidate and marijuana combined during a period after heavy psych use. once, the sidewalk outside my apartment looked like water in a video game that was accidentally textured with a cement look. t'was weird. it never became a persistent problem though.

question: have you been eating enough lately? i always notice visual disturbances like this more if i am malnourished.

Yeah, my first thought is - were you hydrated, fed and well rested? Any of those things could trigger something like this or at least potentiate whatever did cause it.

Did the episode have any symptoms beyond vision distortion? Dizziness, pain, anything? If not and if it doesn't happen again, I'd say flashback brought on by one of the above things and/or the weed and blow.

Oh, and a pretty obvious question - when was your last psychedelic trip?

yeah, weed plus low blood sugar could initiate this (coke and weed can drop blood sugar as well)

I forgot to mention that part, I hadent eaten all day or had any water plus a night of drinking before that. Never knew this could happen tho.

So you all sound like your on to somthing

WHat would this be called then?

ROFL HPPD.

wow, you would think that people in this forum would know about natural optical illusions.

this one is called "velocitization" and is very common after a long walk. your eyes and brain are very used to the constant speed of you walk, and since you are always looking forward, objects in your vision are constantly getting larger towards you. in order to compensate, your brain starts to make things shrink away from you. this is very apparent when you stop walking and stare directly at a stationary object.

definitely not drug induced, just a natural function of your brain. nothing to worry about.

seriously none of you guys do optical illusions like on a regular basis? this one is actually one of my favorites because it's so easy to trigger.

edit: this same phenomenon is also what makes you feel like 35MPH is barely moving after you get off the freeway from going 70MPH for a while.

I've never heard of it with such sudden and powerful onset to the point of being compared to high dose LSD peak visuals. I thought that was a much more subtle thing, but I don't know much about it. Maybe that effect was dramatically magnified by some of these other factors (drugs, food, sleep, etc.)?

that velocitization effect (or something very similar if you don't feel comfortable giving that name to something that isn't caused by actual motion) occurs after you play guitar hero for a long time then look at something else. whatever is at the center of your vision appears to be slowly moving away from you. its pretty awesome.

This makes sense, I just had never heard of velocitization as a natural visual phenomenon, I have only had it caused by guitar hero or that you-tube video. I appreciate you bringing that into my awareness. However I also have to say it was more intense than anything I can imagine happening ot people on a regular basis. It was a long fast paced walk but I cant imagine that happening to a straight edge person and them not reacting as if they were drugged.

I've found, after using many psychedelics, that my "velocitizition" is much more pronounced than it used to be. If I walk for a while then stare at the sky or a wall, everything sucks away from me, much like on a moderate dose of a psychedelic. I know that this happens to everyone, but it's probably 10x more intense than it used to be. Maybe this is happening to you? The weed/coke and lack of a sub, I'm sure didn't help, haha.

Because you were ON DRUGS! You smoked a joint and snorted coke, that's pretty far from a natural hallucination. Also, the quality of your hallucination seems very drug induced. Having had natural hallucinations before, they are generally entirely different than that
