If someone links to an old thread, if it's a good thread and its one that could be used instead of the new thread, use it, don't wait for a moderator to close the new one...
 
just thought i'd bump this, and say something. aus social is getting pretty personal. i'm saying this cos i've just read through a few posts and noticed i'm prolly the biggest culprit. the amount of posts that are directed only to one person, or a few, are increasing quite a lot. i know we al feel its pretty cool to make those sorta posts, and it does make aus social feel nice and friendly. but at the same time, it only really applies to a few people most of the time, and personal jokes aren't jokes if your not the person. i'm saying this for a few reasons. firstly, i think maybe new people might be a bit scared to post, cos a lot of posts, if you don't know us, really make fuckal sense. secondly, i don't want to load up bluelight after a day away, and see the new threads go beyond one page, not cos i wanna keep it small, but cos i want threads to be relevant and interesting. this isn't as much of a problem, i think people are thinking more about what threads they start, and the problem lies more in the fact that once a thread is well established, they are quickly turning into forums for personal jokes and tongue-in-cheek flames. thirdly, i dunno if the server is getting overloaded again, but it sucked when it did last time, and i don't want that to happen again.

Damn right RBB, I too have been thinking the same all day and was planning on writing a few emails when I got home tonight... I'll leave it off for now tho and hope that people realise what they're doing and stop it... and if not, let the assraping begin...
