Greetings from the other side,
i have joined this site to bring a warning im not sure where to post it. I am a veteran of "operating from the inside". i love the psychedelic and always will.
Here is my predicament i have been on the front range of the rocky mountains. There has recently been this so called "MDxx" being passed around. I found myself with a bit of it. It is yellow with chunks. When taken orally it takes two hours to come on. There is nausea and diarrhea. Then an experience like "MDxx", that last a few hours. Then it becomes very very psychedelic. And last for 24-36 hours. From my past experience and the research i have done this is AMT. Which in itself is not bad. But seeing as it is being passed off as "MDxx" seems dangerous, for the fact that it is an MAOI. I am concerned because i know players of the game like to mix things with their "MDxx". Please if any one has been in this area and knows what im talking about put a warning out. AMT can be fun and enlightening (that was another tell tell sign, i gained so much insite about my self that has never happend on "MDxx" for me). Plus my Dxt was very very potent i crossed into the third door with much ease.(that is another story). I implore any one that reads this to warn people and their friends that this "MDxx" is not what it seems. I had fun on my trip but am worried about the party animal who takes this with something and he or she is released from this life prematurely. Not getting the benefit of the understanding of why!!! MDxx opens hearts and should never break them.
 
The MAO inhibiting properties are actually pretty mild and not that dangerous (I would even combine it with MDMA, but I'd keep the aMT dose low to moderate). If you want an MDMA-like experience, but longer and without any significant crash (IME), consider combining it with a low dose of Adderall and about 120 mg of MDAI. I assume the mg you're using is around 40-60? Otherwise, if the dose is more like 5 mg, it's possible it could be 5-MeO-aMT, which is known for causing more stomach issues than aMT.
 
How can somebody get away with selling something so vastly different from MDMA as E? I presume they won't be getting many repeat customers. I wonder how this stuff made it down the grapevine. People need to try pills before selling them. Those who know that the pills contain something like AMT that can be dangerous when mixed with common medications (it has maoi properties, right?) are endangering the lives of others and need to be stopped. This is why all drugs should be legal and regulated by the FDA.

A tell-tale sign of AMT is that it generally smells like shit (literally). All samples that I've come accross, of at least 2 different salts as well as the freebase, all have the trademark shit smell (which is due to trace ammounts of scatole that result from its synthesis).

And thanks, it is always good to publicize things like that. If you can shed more light on your area (state, perhaps?), it may be a bit more helpful.

If you still have a sample of the compound in question, you should test it with the Marquis and Mecke reagent tests (you can order them cheap online) and post pictures of the results-- doing so might save lives.
 
The state is Colorado, where i have obtained the sample. I know the MAOI can be mild but the folks that use MDxx, usually dont just have a tad bit and put it away especially if there is music. I will obtain a test kit but waiting for said kit and the inbetween time...you know what im trying to say. I took two tenth dose at 8 pm last night and am now just starting to come down at 745 pm tonight. The effects where very psychedelic.
 
^ I guess then it is best left to the chemical tests. "Earthy" is a bit vague.

Are you at all familiar with indoles vs phenethylamines? Most indoles have a distinctive smell that can at least distinguish them as being indoles, AMT being the worst offender. In my experience, one can smell AMT as soon as its package is opened - it is very pungent.
 
also here are few details of the effects, it was so much like a dream that the memory's are spartan details in my mind. At about the sixth hour i had a slight tingle burn around my mouth and at my finger tips. The visuals where very intense. Me and my girl where looking at some photos and each other and we both saw the mouth move to the forehead and eyes moved up down and across the face at times leaving the head altogether. there where lotus type fractil patterns emanating from every light source. At one point the light patterns became so intense my girl had to turn off the lights (boo, lol...i love her just the same). This next part is explicit but i feel as if this information may help. We had intercourse during the come up no problem but about 7 hours later we tried again and she was dry as a bone but i was ready to go. She is never dry im the one who usually needs some coxing especially on MDxx.
 
I have a chemist Buddie coming on Tuesday he is gonna do what he does and let me know. I also have read on the MDxx forum that some kid out east ground scored a bag of yellow chunky MDxx. That he left on paper over night and it turned into a brown liquid. Man this stuff is around. I will give an update to what my hommie has to say about this mysterious yet some what fantastic and some how spooky, scary situation i have stumbled across.
 
Sounds good about the chemistry friend. You still haven't mentioned what doses you took. If you took 125 mg of aMT thinking it was MDMA I'd expect the kind of intense visuals, duration, and overwhelming psychedelia you report, since that's over double the typical dose of aMT. I've had yellowish freebase that smelled before. I've also had white aMT HCl that did NOT smell like mothballs or anything else. Do you suspect it's cut or not? If not, it's very likely aMT. There's going to be a lot of people having some overly intense (though in most cases probably not life threatening thankfully) experiences out there if they dose it like MDMA.
 
This does sound like aMT, however I wouldn't necessarily say that the yellow colour is the sign people should look for, a lot of MDMA is a yellowy-brown, and the colour depends a lot on how it was synthesised. I think this just goes to show, always test your chems if you can, and if you can't - then make sure you start low, if this was something else, a dose that high could have been fatal - and given that aMT is usually more expensive than MDMA, in theory this could have been anything - as it seems whoever was selling it has access to it (and probably other RCs) at a reduced price.

Take a little part of your stash and put it aside, attach a sticky note saying "Leave this" - then test it when you can, I know it's hard not to use drugs you've bought, but it could potentially save a lot of people from doing themselves serious harm if this is something other than aMT - and if it is aMT, you'll be able to warn people not to overdo it or treat it like MDMA.
 
aMT smells like rotten potatoes to me...you know when they turn to that foul liquid? This morning I kept smelling what I thought was a strong indole smell, and I was baffled because there should be nothing like that where the smell was. It ended up being some liquefied rotten potatoes. Too bad it wasn't a random pile of aMT instead.
