please name the first illegal drug you tried

This is going to sound weird, but...

For some reason I started reading (devouring) any books on drugs(esp. PDR, etc.) that I could find. I think I just wanted to be knowledgeable (hard-core DARE; Ronald & Nancy era...). My area was kind of dry for a long time.
I intensively researched the word 'euphoria'. Anyway, my Mom had some degenerative disk disease and had some orange K2s in the medicine cabinet all the time. So, to make a long story short my FIRST drug experience was w/ hydromorphone (no IV, yet, only eaten and snorted...). A lot of it....
Then, though, it was mostly weed and some psychedelics for awhile- until I realized that I love opiates (and dank).
So, now, as an RN & an RPh who lives in an area of no supply (for opiates- on the street anyway...), I'm ready to move a family of 5 to the Pacific NW (most likely the Olympia area due to a job offer) so I can score (on the street, whatever...) my medicine. This way I won't get fired due to the constant TEMPTATION that comes w/ being a nurse and a pharmacist...:\
But anyway, I guess opiates were/are my first love, with fine ganja a close second.

hmmm well technically alcohol is a drug which was illegal to me when I first tried it so I guess alcohol, followed by good old mary jane
 
Yeah, it really sucks sometimes (usually while dispensing potent C-II opioids..."one for them, two for me"...etc...). As a functional addict, it would be so much easier if I were to live in an area where opioids could be had on the street. Aside from dreams of opening my own (small) pharmacy (so I can be solely in charge of the ordering process), I just need to be somewhere where I can cop (H or whatever...) on the street. It's so hard when it's your job/career at stake...8(...

On a lighter note, I was offered a Mercedes (or $40,000 directly deposited to my savings acct.) as a "sign-on" bonus, to go to work for Walgreens (7 yr. contract) in the Mesa, AZ area...but I'm not a big fan of tar (H).
Oh well, thread hijack over...sorry guys/gals...had to vent...(waves back to K'dOutinAZ... :\).
