OK so I'm finally going to pull out the couch pillows to gather up some pennies to buy an EZ-test kit. Now I've been doing pills for 18 months and have never tested (I know, I'm stupid) but I'm going to change all that now. But first, I need help buying one.
here are my ?? questions ??, plain and simple:
WHAT E-Z TEST KIT IS BEST? Dancesafe has "Complete" with Mecke/Simon/Marquis but EZ-Test.com has "X-treme" with Simon/Robadope/Marquis reagents. Some say xtreme, others say complete is better and more useful? Help, cause I don't have the slightest clue about reagents!
WHICH WEBSITE IS FASTEST/MOST SECURE/RELIABLE/CHEAPEST? I'm in Canada so anything from this side would be better.
HOW MUCH $ SHOULD I BUDGET FOR A KIT? It's not that big of a deal, but I kinda need to know how many dollars to scrape up. I want to order it this week so (hopefully) I'll have it for mid-February.
**any help would be appreciated**
thanks!
J.

There is no one "best" kit. they all are good at what they are designed to do, ie detect a certain range of substances.
The question you have to ask yourself is what do you want to test for? What is the one, or more, substance that you especially want to find in your pill, or especially don't want to find.
Both major kits contain Marquis and Simon's.
Marquis is essential, as it is still the best test for establishing the presence of MDxx and "speed". It should always be your first test, regardless of what Dancesafe may say.
Simon's is in both kits, and it is very useful in determining the type of MDxx or "speed" you might have, ie either MDMA/EA or MDA, amphetamine or methamphetamine. It isn''t very useful for detecting any other substances, particularly not any of the nasties.
The Dancesafe kit contains Mecke reagent, which is, apparently, the best kit for detecting the presence of DXM. If this is a common adulterant in your area it would be best to go for this kit. However if it isn't common you might want to look at the other kits, as Mecke has some major limitations.
The EZ Test Xtreme has Robpadope which is apparently good a detecting primary amines, of which PMA is one. This means it can hopefully detect a mixed PMA/MDMA pill. If there is PMA in yuor area then perhaps you should consider thie kit.
If, however, ketamine is a major adulterant in your area, as it is in Australia, you'd be best getting a Mandelin agent in addition to either of these kits. Mandelin was sold under the name E2 by Chemical Generation but that company has now become Chemical Soloutions Australia, and it is simply caled Mandelin. you can order one from this site: http://www.ingredient45.com/
So as you can see there is a lot to think about when picking a kit. From what little I know about Canada I'd say that a Dancesafe kit combined with a Mandelin reagent would be your best bet, but as I said thats from my limited knowledge. Your area may be different, and you may have a better idea of what you need.
Always remember that the kits can only give you a limited idea of what is in your pills, and that no test outside of a full Gas Chromatograph lab setup will give you total peace of mind.

I suppose a general rule of thumb would be to
1. Make sure you at least buy marquis reagent. Its really good for the first test, and basically if it doesn't turn purple->black, throw it back. It really isn't very often whatsoever that you will get an MDxx pill mixed with some other active ingredient.
2. Buy the test kits that are offered in your part of the world. Dancesafe provide what they think is 'the best' because it will test for drugs and combo's that are have more prevailent problems for your part of the world (like DXM in pills). Chem Gen/Chem Sols' have a test for Ketamine etc which is rampent in Australia for example. EZ-Test do some real funky PMA/MDXX combo searching etc.
Now 99% of the time you are going to be able to test a pill and decide whether or not you will consume it. Either its going to go purple->black or its not. Its now up to you how much extra level of security you want. (insert standard disclaimer, no drugs are safe etc etc)
As for secure ordering etc - each company is very reputable and very helpful. Each have refund policies and each will help if there are troubles with your order. Being in Canada you will not have any legal troubles either (in fact I doubt you will anywhare in the world)
