PLEASE help me, I need some answers, I have strands of what looks like strands of hair but it's actually a metal of some kind. No I'm not high either, this started when I started using.....it takes months to get out of my body, PLEASE HELP, IT'S RUINING MY LIFE...I am an attractive women yes with a habit but I would NEVER want to do it again if I could find help getting this metal out of my body. Please help. No again I'm not high or crazy, the reason I started doing it was powder for energy, but my throat swelled almost closed, face swelled , it was awful, I assumed it was bc I he bad sinuses, it must be a chemical reaction of some kind and I know it's from that.....Please I'm begging please help me find something to get this out of me.....i know it sounds crazy but it's true..

You might have a medical condition that has nothing to do with cocaine. You really should see a doctor and get yourself checked.

Yes, you need to get it checked out. I smoked Crack for a long time (well, 1 year but seemed very long with that drug), and had breathing problems but I do not know what you mean about strands. Best, to receive help asap.

Do you feel comfortable posting a picture of these strands? I HATE to just instantly say that you ARE tripping or hallucinating only to end up that you really are shedding metal through your pores?

But, hope this helps you calm down about it in the meantime. Our bodies don't have the temperature to make metal a liquid within our bodies to be excreted through our pores and cool down back to a solid metal. So, just kind of ponder on that and recheck those strands. And, again, a picture speaks a thousand words.

You are not excreting metal through your skin, pores, follicles, etc.; that's just not a thing human bodies can do.

If you're not just going through psychosis, is it possible that you have Morgellons? It's an incredibly rare (and controversial) disease that causes people to grow strange fibers from their skin, though almost always along with other symptoms as well. Apparently the common demographic affected by morgellons are middle aged white woman with either a history of depression or drug use. It's also more commonly reported in certain geographic locations (like texas and california iirc).

Although you can find many stories and pictures of these fibers growing from the skin of affected patients some doctors still doubt it's existence. Knowing how stubborn some doctors are I personally side with the patients on this matter. Research has shown a direct correlation between morgellons and Lyme disease. I would only consider this a possibility if you are being 100% truthful when you say you're not high. Sleep deprivation does weird things as well, even if you're way past the point of being high.

I am NOT high and have been mostly clean for the last year with the exception of when my 91 yo grandfather died in Dec.. I hv relapsed three or four times....they look like hair but it's a metal,a friend took me outside in the sun and she too could pull it out ,and her herself could tell although looks likes strands of hair it is metal. My husband doesn't believe me and won't even look but the few I've told sees it n tries to gather up n cut w a knife it then will tighten up on opposite side of my body.....it is crazy. I assumed it was frm that perhaps a allergic reaction.
I am a middle aged (but only 16 at heart)I go to school full time,will or full time,care for 3 birds,3 dogs,a husband and 3000 Sq foot house...
I suppose I am vein, we hv pics of me all over our house lol I am very photogenic n my looks mean alot to me,this is seriously ruining my skin. Thanks for advice

Who ever said that IM NOT excretion metal from my body,I'm not high or crazy ,they are long strands of hair,but stick to magnet n makes indents in my finger like metal would do.....u pull from one side of my temple I hear the sound of metal.....plain and simple it is possible bc it's happening to me!

Guess I will hv a heavy metal blood test bc there is a blood test that tests for metal,yes I can post pics but it looks like hair but hair don't stick to a magnet or cut thru like metal....I will start w a dermatologist after blood test but please any other info would be great.
More about myself. ...I hv two grown children that I had ypung,married young,divorced young,happy children one married last Aug trying to hv their first baby,my youngest just turned 21 lives w his gf....I also recently hv taking over a,roofing biz n hv my own business I hv built up for past I years,I'm a Christian, good to others,no abusive drunk husband, like I grew up with. I'm living the all American dream w some health issues tho....I've had Ashma since childhood, smoked Marlboro 's since 12 n breathed 2nd hand smoke,w that n my addiction I hv copd stage 4,some is genetics as my Mom had as well. I only suffer in winter months n usually hv to be hospitalized 3 or 4 times a winter...
I heard there is a newer treatment to help quit smoking laser behind ear? Anyone know anything about this?
I'm 420 friendly. I do take one pill a day for several injuries fortunately for me I don't get high on my medication. I pulled myself out of that dark place I was for awhike,someone how the one thing I judged others so harshly happened to me......being an addict n having an addictive personality I hv to be careful. ..I'm hoping to trade the cigs for working out. I'm too vein to be strapped to oxygen tank,Dr s gave me 2 years to live 3 years ago,probably to scare me,not realizing how hard putting the cigs down. Do they look like the photos below? They aren't always this severe, they sometimes form one strand at a time. Honestly morgellons is the only thing I can think of that would cause anything similar to what you're saying. I don't doubt you, but out of interest can you please post a picture of these areas where the strands are coming from?

Are you having any rashes? Feel like you have bugs crawling on your skin? Are these metal strands coming out of areas that you pick at? Unfortunately this is something that needs to be treated and diagnosed by a doctor. I strongly suggest you get tested for lyme disease and go from there, if positive I would look into doctors that deal with moregellons. Good luck!

This has me a bit worried. Please don't get insulted by this, but have you been tested for any mental ilnesses? Have you tried talking to a psychiatrist about your issues?

Read that study I linked, it's now been proven to be a legit disease linked to lyme disease. Doctors have habit of telling people things are in their head when dealing with unknowns, this leads to the patient feeling alienated and persistent that they have a legit condition, the doctors attribute the disease to a mental illness... it's rediculous and I've been a victim of this only anxiety being that mental illness. I urge you to read the entire study. Even with schizophrenia it's not common for people to grow cotton strands out of lesions all over the persons body, even in places unreachable to be caused by picking at the skin.

PLEASE go see a psychiatrist and also your doctor. again, I don't mean to be rude or be an asshole, but growing metal out of your skin is impossible, not to mention that you say when you pull on it, it tightens at the other side of your body. please go get professional help before things get worse. I am only saying this because it is in your best interest. coming on bluelight and asking for advice on something that may well be VERY serious is not the right course of action. Being that it started around the time the drug use began the drugs probably precipitated a mental disorder. The reason the parents are going along with the thought that she only has 15 years left to live (the cause being "oxygen") because she spoke to god suggests the family has come to terms with the disorder, my family sure wouldn't take me seriously if I said that to them and would've taken me straight to a mental hospital. I don't mean to insult you OP, but it would be best to get checked out by a mental health professional. At the very least take a picture of these metal strands.

Regardless of the cause of the disorder (honestly, it seems like you're not in a mental state amenable critically examining the origins of your symptoms), why not see a physician to rule out physical disease and biological disorder? It couldn't hurt. From there, you should receive either appropriate medical treatment or referral to a psychiatrist or psychologist.

That was me. I wasn't saying that you're crazy, but that doesn't mean that your interpretation of your symptoms is plausible. Of possible ferromagnetic materials, iron (and various oxides thereof) is the only one found in your body in relative abundance. Hemochromatosis (a disorder where excess iron accumulates in the body) is characterized by the formation of deposits in the skin, bone, and various organs. Your sweat glands and pores are incapable of concentrating and excreting these deposits, nor are your symptoms at all indicative of the disorder.

Lol.....I'm not crazy nor do I suffer from any mental illness. Other ppl see this as well and are as baffled as I am.
I have appt to see Dr to get the blood test I need.

Fyi ..I hv been seeing a,shrink as I hv adhd and needed meds in order to keep up on school and I'm not suffering from any mental disorder. I'm clean from that crap as well and live a normal life....aside frm some health issues that unfortunately only affect my life in winter months I'm healthy...

Lmao...it was a joke about the 15 yrs..yes bc Dr s gave me 2 yrs to live. So now it's kinda of a joke in my family. I hv no disorder although I hv been told I'm crazy a few times... but nobody would just go along w anything in my family. But on the other hand I'm not the type of person to live strapped to oxygen and would hope God would call me home b4 any of that would happen. I haven't needed ANY inhalers since February so I'd say I'm pretty far frm needing oxygen.
Talking to God doesn't make me crazy.
I appreciate all of the advice I really do...this problem could be environmental reaction....ppl are allergic to things in our environment and most of them are deemed crazy according to certain dr's as,well. No matter,I hv Dr appt and I've had a physician assistant whom is a client who he too thought at first I was crazy....thanks again. When I figure this out,I will update!
