The last bit of dope I have is in a brand new syringe which seems to be clogged in the needle. When i push the plunger down nothing comes out of the needle and the actually plunger gets pushed backwards as if there some sort of pressure working against it, i.e. clogged needle. The kicker is at the moment i cannot get another needle until tomorrow afternoon and I really need this shot. Anyone have any suggestions on how to unclog a needle? Ever happen to anyone? Ive tried boiling the whole thing to loosen up whatever may be clogging the needle but nothing. Tried running REALLY hot water through it and nothing will come out of the needle... AHHH I REALLY need this shot! Please help
 
a brand new out of the box syringe is clogged ? Thats strange.

thats why I always use the rig to draw up the water for my shot then use the same rig to shoot.

I would definitely advise against trying to use that rig and just wait for tomorrow.

But I know your not ganna do that and your ganna try to shoot it anyway. maybe try heating the needle up with a lighter untill its orange hot for a few seconds.

Thank you. Thats my 2nd option but its just not ass good and I wanted to check with all of you all if theres some secret to clogged needles. But yes I will prob do that eventually. Thanks again. Any other advice on how to unclog the needle? Anyone please???

Heating the shaft of the needle (gently, above a flame, or similar) may do it, by generating pressure. It may also weaken the steel so that it snaps off inside you.

I'll leave that up to you to determine whether it's worth it. (protip: probably not. the advice re: your ass is sound.)

Yes brand new outta the box and I did use the needle to gage how much water to use in my shot. I of course filtered the shot properly that why this lil/BIG dilemma is blowing my mind. Gaaah!
And yeah ur right about waiting for tomorrow but no offense... thats not an option. Ill end up sick as hell in a few hours n start to go through full WDs in the middle of the night.

You should be able to clear it by filling the syringe with hot water and pushing the plunger hard. I can't imagine a blockage that's that hard. Of course disassembling and clearing your rig will get rid of it's sterility, so take some precautions there to restore cleanliness.

And yeah, waiting till tomorrow isn't an option, I know friend... But if all else fails, plug away.
 
Option 1 is to take a butane flame lighter and heat the tip of the syringe. This might loosen/dislodge the blockage. If the blockage is coagulated blood that is one thing.. If your blockage is related to actual particles blocking the syringe, this solution should absolutely NOT be injected without refiltering it. If that particle is clogging your syringe, what will it do to your body?

If it is cooagulated blood and the heat does dislodge the blockage, you still need to refilter the solution as you do not want to inject coagulated blood. The reason I say to use a butane torch lighter is you do not haev the black soot that will build up on the tip from the flame, like you would if you used a bic lighter.

Option 2 is to take the plunger out and attempt to drain the solution back into the cooker.. this can be tricky. Then boil your syringe to dislodge any particles, and refilter/suck up your solution


If the clog is not at all related to blood in the syringe, you should under no circumstance inject the solution without refiltering it and washing the syringe out. By no means should you inject a particle big enough to clog a syringe (muchless any particle at all).
 
I fucking hate when this happens..that's why I never like to use gauge needles higher than 29. They clog incredibly easy..though I have had it happen with 28's too, just not as easily. Boiling the thing usually did the trick for me. Otherwise I'd just pull out the plunger, shake out the solution, and find a new rig..but you said you don't have another so that's out.
